I'm headstrong, and I'm a bitch, so it's hard to get along with me in a heated discussion, no offense it take by me at all.

Stop arguing... theres n o point of arguing here.. go back to the topic thread. exactly, just because someone doesn't agree with you, doesn't mean they're a troll. Trolling would be like coming in and saying "F. Kelly" I have stated previously that I like Kelly. I just think that it's really pretentious to say that MLWSWY is currently the most popular song in the US, and used fact to back up my statement, B. Monroe and I came to an agreement on what constitutes popularity, on the previous page. If anyone else is interested in what I had to say, it's all still there, and I'm open for discussion

Am I the only one who finds it strange that you would promote a song after it goes to #1? It only got to #1 b/c of fanbase Am I the only one who don't find it strange because it's so obvious that in general music business they want to earn as much as they can. To have been #1 in 2 weeks of release (cos of high digital sales which most of it is from fanbase) and then let it go is more strange. And to say this song only got to #1 bcos of fanbase is partly true. The key that this song went higher than "Never Again" is the rise in digital market that make the debut digital sales for a debut song from an album have a significant effect on charting. And the catchier sound of "Suck" also helps the song a bit more too. So fanbase, rising digital market, and catchy sound make it go #1. Fanbase alone will make it go top5 or top10. (like NA #8) And that's the start of the argument. Please end it soon.

LMAO, no it's not. If Kelly's fanbase alone could get a song to #1, then My December would have done a hell of a lot better. I agree with you- that makes no sense. she probably had a bigger fanbase after "Breakaway" than she does now and they could not get "Never Again" to number one- people like the song, a second week in a row seems to prove that.

Does someone mind posting the top ten right now to provide some context of what she needs to do to jump the next few spots? If that's even possible?

11 9 KELLY CLARKSON My Life Would Suck W... 5636 4721 915 35.691 +145 Spins -21 Bullet +0.921 Audience Thanks for the update. :) MLWS is holding steady, but there's a real log jam in the top 10 right now. There are still 837 spins separating MLWS and 'Live Your Life,' even though LYL has a negative 957 bullet. Looking at a couple of different songs, there are still 975 spins separating 'Circus' in #4 from 'Love Story' in #3, even though LS now has a negative bullet. At this rate, it doesn't seem like we'll see much movement in the top 10 for at least a week. I'd love to know other people's analysis. :)

RCA/RMG 2009 5636 4721 915 10 BRITNEY SPEARS Womanizer Jive/JLG 2008 5196 6255 -1059 It's hard to read that way so, if you want, you can use this link to see the Mediabase chart. My preference is to use this chart because I like the format instead of the one that's available through AllAccess (same chart, but with audience #s added). www.mediabase.com/mmrweb/insideradio/charts.asp?format=1&showyear=y&dpt=nAs for analysis, I'd love to see the analysis from people who have been watching these charts longer than me. But the bottom line, as I see it, is that the older songs in the top 10 simply aren't losing spins fast enough right now to allow for much movement. It isn't just MLWS that's been stuck. The whole top 10 hasn't moved positions much for awhile now. The ones at the top had such huge spin totals that it's hard for the newer T10 songs to catch up.

Finally the top 3 started losing spins yay. But the gap between no 3(taylor) and no 4(circus) is pretty HUGE (1000 spins). AAR has also outgained kelly, they were ahead by 1000 spins a week ago, now AAR is pulling ahead 1400 spins (which is good so kelly wont have to fight the same battle). Kelly just needs to keep her healthy daily gain and have longevity, then she would get the #1 after the foursome (circus, heartless, sober,GYH) is done. Watch out for Right Round Out of all these gaining songs from big artists, a few is gonna get screwed, not everyone is gonna be #1. we will see which act(s) pop radio prefer over the others to go to #1

Mainstream Top 40 update with audience number.
11 9 KELLY CLARKSON My Life Would Suck W... 5636 4721 915 35.691
Hot AC update:
12 8 KELLY CLARKSON My Life Would Suck W... 2443 1993 450 12.821
MLWS is 346 spins away from the #7 spot on Hot AC. 'Shattered' is currently in #7 with a negative bullet. Here's the Hot AC top 10 as of this morning's update:
1 NICKELBACK Gotta Be Somebody 3913 3908 5 20.668 2 FRAY You Found Me 3432 3289 143 16.910 3 KATY PERRY Hot N Cold 3402 3512 -110 18.769 4 DAVID COOK Light On 3098 2995 103 15.245 5 JASON MRAZ I'm Yours 3043 3120 -77 17.298 6 TAYLOR SWIFT Love Story 2996 2879 117 14.824 7 O.A.R. Shattered (Turn The ... 2789 2912 -123 14.451 8 KELLY CLARKSON My Life Would Suck W... 2443 1993 450 12.821 9 PINK So What 2364 2609 -245 14.385 10 DAUGHTRY What About Now 2309 2419 -110 13.830
Hot AC is not as jammed up at the top as Mainstream Top 40 is, and MLWS is on track to reach #1 on this chart in a few weeks (assuming its bullet remains so strong).

Dude. I saw the video of her singing this. She was perfect. This sonng is almost too easy for her to sing. That's what happens when you give a Katy Perry Lite song to a great singer. But I'm pretty annoyed about how she looks right now. She won't be able to rule '09 looking like that. Go to the gym Kelly. Eat healthier. And get a stylist. ;)

Hopefully that fashion choice was just a fluke. Kellys weight fluctuates and I'm sure she will lose some because of all the promo not that she needs to lose any.

its not that i want her to be skinny skinny! its just you have to admit...each year she seems to gain more...look at pics from 2002 then 2003..she gained and even the beginning of 2004 she did until the end of the year when she was promoting breakway...then she started to look and dress her age and was hot doing it...and then towardsthe end of 06 she started to gain it back and in 2007 she looked the heaviest...then now..i think shes the heavest ive seen her...i hope she starts to get some excercise to be her perfect weight which i think is 2003...she wasnt too thin and worn out and not heavy-ish.....o well..im just glad shes back and sounds great!!!
