GO AWAY *someone* :) Kelly fans, let's just ignore them and get this thread back on track. Don't reply to anything they write from now on!! Can you really not handle a debate? That's actually really sad :( You can call me by my name, I'm 18 years old, I think I can handle it.

It's too bad the whole thread has to be ruined because one person has issues with how the Hot 100 is compiled. Couldn't you just complain to Billboard and leave us alone?

We don't have to read everything you posted because you are saying the same thing in almost every post. How would you know unless you've read all of them? The NLP: Please stop this discussion. A lot of valuable members who post relevant news to this thread day after day are beginning to get irritated, and I, speaking for the rest of KC Fans here, would very much appreciate it if you stopped this discussion. We read your opinions. We stated what we thought about your opinions, as you did about ours. We agree to disagree. Please move on to another thread, and let us enjoy this wonderful era. Thanks.

OK. two questions for NLP then,
1. what can we (people who just feel sick of the argument) do? 2. what do you want?
to just end this argument and make this thread move on in a better way.

I love this song, but I haven't bought it off iTunes yet. I'm waiting to buy the whole album off iTunes. The wait is *killing* me. I want this on my iPod yesterday!

I promised myself I wouldn't listen to any leaks until I had the HQ Version of the CD, but luckily nothing has leaked and I haven't been tested. These past few weeks, though, have been great having MLWSWY at my iPod's disposal! Props.

This will be #8 soon. Dang it, though. She'll have to stay there for a bit. Maybe a week at least? Argh!

I like the colors and everything now on her cover- it's upbeat and cheery-just what the country needs at the moment. it's also very summer-like and hopefully it will still be selling through-out the summer and won't fall off that fast- hoping for a year in the top ten is too much to ask.

Ooh, I much prefer the deluxe edition cover. It's not great or anything, but I like it so much more than the regular cover. The pic is much better, the color is better (no bright yellow). It looks like kelly. Finally something decent as official cover artto go along with the album for my iphone. Of course I'm buying both version, I want to own these covers, I really need to import the single too. MLWSWY is my fave kelly cover ever, i wish they use the single cover for the album. Bullet has gone down a bit, which is fine by me, as long as she keeps gaining. She needs to wait for all the songs above her to peak . Let AAR , pink and britney battle it out. Kelly just needs to outlast them with longevity and it'll get to #1,n but watch out for Right Round. On hot AC, the song is doing ok. Bullet drop is expected as the current stations on board can only do so much, it needs to pick up more stations. I havent checked the whole hot AC chart for awhile though.

Calling posters "trolls" and telling them to get out of the thread isn't going to do anything. There is nothing wrong with NLP's discussion; he has been respectful. This isn't a fanboard, if you want all discussion about Kelly then you can go ahead and join one

The point is that they keep posting the same thing over and over again and it seems very likely that they are just trying to get a rise out of people. Their argument is with how the Hot 100 is compiled, and not about MLWSWY's run on the Pop chart, which this thread is for. Many longtime Pulse members have expressed their displeasure, and your response is, " Go away if you don't like it." People are just asking that the thread be used for what it is intended, not someon'e personal agenda against how downloads factor in the Hot 100.

I'm not even sure what your argument is. Is it that it got to #1 because Kelly's fans bought the song? If so...isn't that obvious, why would someone buy the song if they weren't a fan of it? I'm a really firm believer in that if a song is virtually unknown, and zooms to #1 the next week on the wings of crazed fan downloads, it's not a truly deserving #1 for that week. Now, in time, the song usually does become deserving of being #1, after radio catches up, and middle america has time to actually be immersed in it. I agree to a point. While I question a song that races up to #1 one week and plummets back down as being a true #1, I also feel, though, that you have to allow for all popularity factors. A crazed fanbase, like it or not is an indicator of popularity. I can't stand Britney Spears songs, I think she has very little talent and I feel that the radio-play is total payola, we are TOLD she is popular rather than her actually being popular. However, as much as I don't LIKE that, the fact remains that people talk about her and people download her songs and she is, therefore, popular. Dissecting the motives around a purchase of a song is a tenuous proposition, because you can't ever get a decent approximation of who is getting the song solely for driving it to #1, who is getting it because they like it , who is getting it because they like Kelly Clarkson and want to hear the new song, and who is getting it for all 3 reasons. Furthermore, you miss the mark with this song, because this song WASN'T a virtual unknown before zooming to #1, radio stations were already playing it like crazy. You might argue that only ardant listeners were familiar with it, but again, how do you go about analyzing it? It seems to me with radio play placing the song firmly in the top 10 at both CHR and HOTAC, and Rhythmic picking it up, and the second week at #1 and sales still holding strong for the single that this was NOT an undeserving #1, not even the FIRST week. Why? Because the popularity hasn't waned, it has continued and therefore it wasn't likely just based on hype. So I disagree with you on this song even though I understand your point overall.

I can totally see what The NLP means, and to some extend agree with it. But it´s really the fault of the BB Hot 100 system. For example anyone remember when Taylor Swfit´s Fearless (song) debuted at #9? Completely ridiculous lol.
The Pop 100 reflects popularity better anyway.
Anyway this song is absolutely great and I think it will reach the top 10 on Hot 100 airplay. The deluxe album cover is also much better. I love this era already, lol.
And "Hook Up" needs to leak :'(

10 9 KELLY CLARKSON My Life Would Suck W... 5787 4943 844 36.782 +75 Spins -39 Bullet +0.472 Audience Thanks for the Mainstream Top 40 morning update, azriel. The good news about this update is that only 289 spins now separate MLWS and LYL in the #8 spot. Yesterday 556 spins separated them, so MLWS gained 267 on the #8 spot in 24 hours. The semi-bad news is that, due to the slowdown in MLWS's rate of spin gain, it probably won't move into #8 until Saturday. In the meantime, I'm starting to get a little worried about 'You Found Me' in #10. It's been gaining spins. Now only 643 spins separate it from MLWS in #9. The log-jam at the top of the chart is affecting the movement of a lot of songs now. It's amazing how 'Love Story' is hanging in there so tough in #3.
