Yeah, it will be interesting to hear Kelly put her twist on these Katy Perry songs I predict Kelly's version of these songs will put Katy Perry's to shame, in all honesty. |

Just to remind you all that I DO NOT HOOK UP was one of the contender for the 1st single, along with MLWSWY, so kelly's version is THAT good i bet.
This is such a good sign that most people here hate it. That means the song is going to be HUGE usually!! =)

Did Kelly's version leak? Because Demos can be like...completely different songs than the actual recorded version by the final artist. That is why I am getting so confused by people that wildly love or hate certain songs on the new cd that we have only heard rough demos for. I mean, it is fine to say eh this doesn't have potential or yay this does!!! But...I guess I don't get some of the concrete polarized THIS IS THE WORST SONG KELLY HAS EVER DONE IT SUCKS OMG!!!!!!!!! type opinions. Unless the real version did leak and you guys are holding out  |

It is really only 3 weeks away huh? I just looked at the calendar.
That means the album will leak next week!! (if it leaks on 'schedule' like any other pop album by big female pop artist -Circus and I Am Sasha Fierce standard edition)
Oh man, the wait is almost over!! eeeeeeeeeeekkk...
Do you guys think a few stations like Z100 will start spinning I Do Not Hook Up as soon as the album got out?
Any news on the cover art btw? Is the version we have official? I think it is.

Does anyone know when this will be released digitally in the UK? Just checked UK Itunes and it's still not up. It's strange she did promo there but the single isn't available yet.

I just listened to Long Shot , woah the hook is pretty catchy . =) i kindda like it!
I think Katy Perry's "unique" vocal really is throwing everyone off with both Katy's (as you all called it 'left-over'). With Kelly's big booming layered pop voice and slicker/tighter production Hook Up and Long Shot would be power pop anthem perfection (that primo pop hits RS talked about maybe)
I expect Kelly's version would be on a higher key (which would give the hook that 'explosive' feel, especially with kelly's voice). I'm also hoping for a key change in the middle of Hook Up .
I think this album will be divided and balanced between the bubble gum ear candy power pop (such as Suck, Hook Up, Long Shot) and the more serious/quality song (such as Save You), the more full blown out production to the more stripped down/acoustic. It's gonna have some 'breakaway' moments and also some 'my november' moments

Still 1703 spins between MLWS and the #7 spot, but the song keeps chipping away at it. I mean absolutely no disrespect to fans of 'Heartless' but it's losing steam now for sure. In the meantime, 'Dead And Gone' is only 318 spins away from the #10 spot. So, from a Kelly fan's point of view, I hope the rate of spin gains for MLWS continues to rise. At the rate of +155 added spins a day (as in today's update), it will take about 10 days for MLWS to catch 'Heartless'. So the bigger the daily rise, the better. |

At any rate, as of today there are 465 spins separating 'Gives You Hell' and 'Circus'. There are 554 spins separating 'Circus' from the #1 spot. GYH is gaining spins at a much faster rate than 'Circus', so as of today my prediction is that Circus peaks at #2. The really big gap right now is between the #7 and #8 spots. There are 1703 spins separating 'Heartless' and MLWS. Even at the rate of 155 spins gained per day (based on today's healthy gain), MLWS will take about 10 to 11 days to pass 'Heartless' (8018 – 6315 = 1703 / 155 = 10.9). That's a long time for MLWS to sit in #8 given that 'Dead And Gone' and 'Right Round' are rising fast. No one wants to see MLWS get to #1 on Top 40 airplay more than me, but at this point the math doesn't support my making such a prediction. That's why I do the math daily and hope for two things right now: a faster rate of spin gain and longevity. Edited to add the positive news that MLWS is now only 62 spins shy of moving into the #7 spot on Hot AC, and I believe it will do so by Thursday at the latest. Although chart movement on Hot AC is glacial, MLWS has a very realistic shot at making it to #1 in that format. |

I also like your daily chart analysis, thanks for doing that everyday.
but of course daily gains/loss changes everyday and it's just the way it is. And you analyze the chart 'as of today'.
By the trend of last week, it looked like for a while this sound would hit a wall pretty fast and lost its bullet completly, but of course chart doesnt work like that. we have to put the previous week's gains/loss and incorporate it to this weeks stats somehow.
BTW I STILL THINK MLWSWY WILL GO #1 ON POP, and probably SO WILL I DO NOT HOOK UP (yay!)

This is such an exciting time to be a kelly fan. Tracking the singles, anticipating the album. We've been doing this since pre-Thankful and it never got old! The excitement is still the same or even more now.
We are basically days away to listen to the full leak of the new kelly frickin clarkson cd!

I hope the cd doesn't leak. I want her to get the highest first week sales possible. If she is performing this on Idol we may learn about it tonight. They may say who some mentors are since its the first night of the semis.
