"I Told You So" is an old song, so it can't be nominated. I'm pretty sure that "Love Story" was submitted for Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best Female Country Vocal Performance and Best Country Song; among with "Our Song" and "Picture to Burn". "Just A Dream" was submitted for Best Short Form Music Video, that's make it ineligible in the other categories?? I Told You So Can be nominated in the Country Collaboration category.... Carrie released a duet version of it with Randy Travis... so it is eligible for that category. Just a Dream is eligible for EVERY category but short form video, as you said. I was just reffering to "Best Country Song", I know it can be nominated in Country Collaboration and I hope to win!

With Womanizer, Circus, If U Seek Amy and now Radar, Britney Spears has a very strong portfolio of songs for the Grammys 2010.

Respectfully disagree with you. While which Album is "better" is purely subjective, you are mistaken on a few key points. 1. Some Hearts sold 7x platinum, and Fearless is only at 3x platinum. It is highly unlikely that it will ever reach the heights of Carrie's Album in terms of sales... as it will likely top out at 4x platinum or maybe 5x platinum at best. 2. Some Hearts was the Fastest Selling Debut Country Album in history..and still holds that record I believe. It was a "rocket" success in every meaning of the word. 3. Some Hearts had 5 number 1 hits, if you include Inside Your Heaven. Carnival Ride produced 5 Number 1 hits as well, and is at 3x platinum in sales. 4. Some Hearts won Album of the year for all Genres at the Billboard music awards for sales, and won Top country Album 2 years in a row. It also won Country Album of the year at the American Music Awards. 5. Carrie's album produced 3 Grammys for Carrie, and also 2 more Grammys for Country Songs of the year. 6. While Carnival Ride got the best reviews of Carrie's albums, Some Hearts did get decent reviews as well. 7. Some Hearts won Album of the year at the ACMS...Fearless did too, so that is a tie I guess. lol I don't want to be trolly or something. I THINK that Taylor was more of a success in a way because Taylor is the IT person of the year I mean with this failing cd market she has proven to be still a huge factor. I mean Love Story being the only country number 1 in history(pop mix or normal who cares). She writes her own music and is just the star of the year. I think she has the best chances to be nominated and the reviews on her cd were amazing. So I know Carrie was huge but she didn't really have the huge effect Taylor did.Even though I know Carrie has a 1000x better voice than Taylor , I think Taylor has the whole Package to be a album of the year.

Best New Artist I am on Team David Cook He has one of the best singing voices in the Biz He songs were written by big artists in the Biz His brother died and he might get some sorry votes He had great songs and wrote many of his songs Keri has already had songs before Knock you down So I believe it should be given to the years biggest debut artist David. I think Gaga came out 2 years ago so she isnt that new SO david cook should win.
For Pop Vocal- My Life Would Suck Without You If Pink's Sober wins I will be strongly dissapointed Because Kelly's Sober didn't and it vocals were a masterpiece.
Pop Album All I Ever Wanted Circus The Fame Funhouse
I think it is unknown you will win.
I think the Black Eyed Peas will win something for Boom Boom Pow I mean it is one of the biggest songs of all time so EVEN THOUGH I HATE IT , i think it should win something.
I think Talyor should win country
Beyonce could be an rnb Queen but we do have Keri to win
Those are my little notes right now when the nominations come out I will predict the winners

As long as Maxwell, Kid Cudi, Keri Hilson and GaGa get some love, I'm good.

Exactly. Britney is not a strong contender for the Grammy's. She will probably get a nomination, if anything IMO it will be for Circus (song).

These are far better choices than what the Academy realistically will settle for. Sadly, the Academy has a history of rewarding more conservative mainstream choices and ignoring Indie recordings, even if they are vastly superior albums than the mainstream albums. If you are not on a major label than you stand little chance at getting nominated in any of the major categories. >:( Sadly, the Academy will most likely settle for the likes of Green Day, Pearl Jam and U2 before they reward the likes of Animal Collective, Grizzly Bear or Phoenix. >:(

Has anyone listened to Jewel's new Lullaby Album? It is absolutely breathtaking. Her voice sounds so pretty, and the whole album is just incredible.
Could it be nominated for some sort of Children's Music Album? not sure how that would work.
^ I just recently checked out Maxwell for the first time. Wow! What a voice! He is really good. Is he a new artist? If so, he should be up for BNA too.

Don't ignore Mariah & Obsessed。 i doubt obsessed will be nominated. Touch my body was ignored and both are novelty songs. Not to mention, Touch My Body broke the elvis record and was still overlooked! Her album Memoirs will be a different story.

I took them into consideration when writing this list U2 almost always is Rock and Pop. and Greenday is always Rock, and a little Alternative. Ida Maria and The Decemberists also have a chance too. The shoe-in is Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Every album they've done has been nominated and this being their best has to be nominated. Lily Allen may also be nominated too but highly unlikely. She even said that her album was more "pop" this time around. I can see her with a Pop album nomination. Her previous album was nominated. Im kinda pissed she didnt get ROTY, SOTY or BNA back in 2007. "Smile" was such a good song. I think that was because of Amy Winehouse being such a sucsess.

Having heard U2's last album, I think their days as a pop band in America are over. They still can be pop overseas, but not here. Their style just doesn't fit the pop catalog right now. Could you see "Magnificent" playing right after "Boom Boom Pow" or "Poker Face." Green Day became pop with American Idiot. I'm not sure about the new album, but American Idiot was pop in that it came out at the right time, when punk and emo was a lot bigger than it is now.

^^Agreed. That's the thing with Pop, not a consistent category/genre at all really.
Obsessed has no chance of a Grammy nomination and after what happened last year I'm not entirely convinced Mariah will appear at all depending on the album, but we'll see. It would be great to see the Yeah Yeah Yeahs nominated, it's entirely deserved.

Best Pop Vocal AlbumAll I Ever Wanted - Kelly Clarkson Bible Belt - Diane Birch Circus - Britney Spears It's Not Me, It's You - Lily Allen This is hard...hahaha Why is it that only women are noticed for vocals? Everywhere I look on this forum I never see someone credit a guy as an amazing vocalist. What about someone like John Legend or Chris Daughtry? Even the polls on here for "Best vocalist of the decade" only have girls like Christina Aguilera and washed-up Michelle Branch.

Circus won't win album of the year, and neither will The Fame. I also would be SHOCKED if either would be nominated. As I would BEP. They're too novelty for the grammys.
