Where is that dead horse icon when you need it? I am no more ashamed of being straight and buying female artist CDs like Britney, Christina, and PCD than I am for being Black and listening to alternative and DMB. The fact that people feel ashamed of what kind of MUSIC they listen to is pathetic. I take s**t for my musical tastes ALL the time and when people come over to my house, I don't scurry like a cockroach, trying to hide certain CDs or delete songs from my ITUNES, LOL. I can see if someone was voguing around in a boa and satin panties to Hush Hush but just listening to the music?? in 2009?? REALLY?? To quote the great Randall Jackson, "WHAT?! The disco remix was a stupid idea...This would have had a great chance following a dance hit...but not following a ballad.

i think the strong recurrence of i hate this part is really hurting this song. it's maintained it's position around 1700 overall weekly spins & 1000 CHR spins for well over a month now. it's not showing signs of dropping yet either... Wow, that song's still going strong until now? ??? I'm soooo past "I Hate This Part" - it's funny when I look back to all the extensive detailed updates I posted for that song about four months ago already. LOL Granted, my station still plays it in recurrent form - at least once, maybe twice a day but that's it. They just pushed "Hush Hush" into regular rotation as of this week and it's also picking up spins on the music video channels. |

I don't know what more to say. If anything, "I Hate This Part" is probably the only single off their latest era that's definitely captured the longevity that none of the others could, considering it wasn't even a Top 10 hit.
Not even "When I Grow Up" (which was a Top 10 hit) lasted this long, and once it peaked, that single pretty much burned itself out very quickly.
On another note, as of today Mediabase has now changed PCD's latest song title to "Hush Hush: Hush Hush" (likely because of the remix and to avoid confusion with the original).
