I can't believe he didn't win...something about it doesn't sit well with me. Maybe it was the sexuality thing. Ryan didn't even say "Less than 1% of the vote separated them!" so Kris probably won by a sizeable margin.
Kind of disappointed... I was no Adam stan, but he seemed like the logical winner, that's ALL everyone ever talked about when it came to Idol over the past months!

I hope not. Adam is so much more talented than that. I can't believe he didn't win. The talent divide between Adam and Kris is like the Grand Canyon.

I don't see America catapulting an openly gay pop star to super stardom at this point in time.

All it takes is easy cookie cutter pop to make a star. Hopefully they don't screw Adam or Kris over.

I called Kris to win and I am so glad he did. That said, Adam is the shit as well and I hope he has success because he is talented to a freakish degree!

A lot of people probably thought Adam had it in the bag, with all the talk that has been around him this season, so they didn't call in and vote. Also, with Danny leaving his fans may have switched over to Chris to vote for last night. Also, with the texting a lot of teen girls probably voted for Kris. Anyway, I see Adam having a good career ahead of himself.

I never liked Adam, he's shouting his songs instead of singing them!

I'm sure Adam will prove that he deserve to be this season's American Idol..

Adam's "Mad World" is #4 on iTunes, ahead of all of Kris Allens' songs. LOL. New Clay Aiken!

I don't normally like anything from Idol but Adam Lambert's No Boundaries should be sent to radio at once.

I think the only way NB will become a radio hit is if Adam's version is sent to radio, which ain't gonna happen. Seriously awesome studio version of a horrendous song. He sounds like Steven Tyler from Aerosmith and/or the lead singer of Shinedown in parts of it.

^ Let me guess, you voted for "Ch"ris? Didn't 'vote' for anyone. Didn't watch the finale. I caught a couple of his full performances during the season, and have seen clips on news shows and such. He's a wailing drag queen. I can see how in the context of American Idol everyone might think he's amazing, but when all the hype dies down, this guy is going nowhere.

Sounds like a something a homophobe would say. When rockers were doing similar stuff to what Adam does on stage no one has a problem with it. Now when the guy happens to be gay all kinds of homophobic remarks come out. Interesting. ;)

Adam is incredible! He has the best vocals of the two, though Kris is also very very talented, and I love him too.
I am fine with Kris winning and plan to buy his album too... but I think Adam deserved it more.
That performance with Kiss last night was amazing! Also, Adam did great on the Queen song. He is made to sing that song.
Interesting Fact: Every Single Idol Winner is from the South!!! Adam had no chance being from California, poor guy. :(
1. Kelly Clarkson: From Texas 2. Ruben-- Alabama 3. Fantasia- North Carolina 4. Carrie- Oklahoma 5. Taylor- Alabama 6. Jordan Sparks- Arizona 7. David Cook- Kansas 8. Kris Allen- Arkansas
Notice a pattern here? lol

I don't think that RCA Records is a very good choice (yes, I know he didn't have a choice) considering what happened with Cook and Clarkson's latest albums.
He should have won. Kris is a mediocre vocalist with limited stage presence and is even less commercially viable than Taylor Hicks.
