Song is gross, but his voice sounds great on it. Not exactly what I wanted him to do, but it's close enough.

I don't know if i can wait until Nov/Dec for new music. I am obsessed with the studio recordings from Idol. I'm trying not to wear them out but it's difficult because his voice is so mesmerizing.

Truthfully, none of the Winner/runner-up albums have been very good, except for Carrie's "Some Hearts" which was exceptional- but I think it is really because of the talent that rushed to work with her, they gave their best to her. Daughtry actually has songwriting talent and that helped him, and Kelly did too- which helped "Breakaway"-
I almost want Adam to accept the Queen offer if it is made and become part of their group. I don't know- i think the 'gay" stigma might still be strong and hamper his success- but no one will think twice about buying a Queen album, for some reason, it just won't be a problem because the brand name overcomes everything else. I know they are old, but there is no question Brian May is an incredible songwriter and all Adam needs is an album or two with them to get accepted- then he can go off on his own. I don't know- just a thought. He's just not going to sell solo like some think he will be.
I don't know what to say about Clay Aiken. He has never ever ranted on an American Idol contestant before (not even Sanjaya) and he just so happens after five years to bash the only openly gay contestant that has come so far. It just can't be a coincidence.

^ No, Adam should NOT front queen. Too many music snobs would be against it. Trust. Those sort of folks have sticks shoved soooo far up their asses. Even the idea of anyone replacing Jesus H. Mercury is repulsing. Adam needs to stay away from that deal. Britney st@ans have nothing on fans of bands like Zepplin, Beatles, Queen, and even Radiohead. Adam is from idol. And he's American. It won't happen.
He should front his own band. That would be pretty cool, I think. He seems more like a frontman than a solo artist to me.

I don't think that Adam should accept the Queen offer either. He needs a huge amount of recognition before he should ever attempt to join them.

Didn't Adam say he wants to go solo? That's what I read at one interview. :)

So, all we can hope for is...good material, good performances, and some moderate level of sustaining his visibility in the music industry. Let's hope they don't forget him after single #1, like they did with the others. Exactly, your basicly got what i ment -lol. But i stand by my genre things for Kat/Di/Bo.

no one will think twice about buying a Queen album, for some reason, it just won't be a problem because the brand name overcomes everything else. I completely disagree. I think there would be an uproar (in a bad way) if he were to join Queen. People keep comparing Adam to Freddie Mercury because of his range and sexuality, and if they let him join Queen, that would make it look like Freddie Mercury is replaceable by someone who is viewed as a wannabe. Queen purists would definitely not support an album with Adam Lambert replacing Freddie Mercury. Queen with someone other than Freddie Mercury on vocals just isn't Queen.

Clay's rant? I was surprised as well, but ya know it is just his opinion posted at a private site. He has the Q&A section of his fan site and he had been asked numerous times about AI. Well I think that he was pissed off at AI, and he ranted about it. He stuck his big ole foot in his mouth. I think the last straw was this bogus tabloid rumor that he visited the studio to try to connect with Adam...and was kicked off the lot. AI has treated him like shit, and usually he never says anything bad about them...I think this was the last straw. Unfortunately his comment about Adam overshadowed the real point of his blog.
Yeah I think the Queen story is partly hype..it gives Queen some publicity. Same with KISS. Freddie is a legend and some fans would have a hard time seeing anyone trying to fill his shoes.
AI/19/RCA does a horrible job with most contestants.....and if they decide to stop promoting you.....well.....the album will die. Example Clay. They frequently pick the wrong song to put to radio and then they never really work radio so it sits there and dies. Look at Kelly with My December. Or Bo. I don't think they have done a particularly good job with David C either.
They have done a great job with Carrie, but then she was working with a different team within the Sony/BMG family....and Clive Davis stayed far away.
I think the thing that Adam has going for him is that they wanted him to win, so I think they might treat him OK.

Adam is not going to take up the Queen gig even if offered. Nor should he. Singing with Queen will do more to hamper his solo prospects than good even if they are idols of his. Besides, it has pretty much already been confirmed that he'll go straight to work on his solo album. I'm hoping many of the artists like Katy Perry who were actively in support of Adam also take an interest in his career post-Idol.

I don't know, Queen has had a frontman for 4 years already so it's not like he's replacing Mercury- the whole Feddie Mercury legend is strange- he was not that popular here in the US until he died- now he is this rock GOD and Queen regularly wins these "greatest bands" polls. But I agree it is not happening- he has said he wants a solo career and the runner-up doesn't have much say really in it- Daughtry was 4th so that was a bit different- Idol probably would not let him go front Queen anyway, he's bound by the contract.
I hated his interview about what he wanted on his album. He is one of those who want a little bit of "everything"- he wants a "mix." Every Idol who has said that- the album has never been any good- "so-so" at best. He doesn't sound at all like he knows what he wants his album to sound like. He doesn't seem to have a musical direction. A little bit of everything usually means a lot of nothing.

^ Ooooh. Outsold the winner. Uh-oh.
No, I'm happy for Adam that he's doing well. I've seen his interviews, and he's just such a sweet guy, and has just the right amount of confidence. I wish I liked his singing, but it's like nails on a chalkboard! And then there's the makeup, and the tongue... I just can't. But he does seem like a genuinely cool guy. :)

He's gonna be a huge star, and if not here, then Europe and Asia are going to love him. That voice was not given to him for it to just languish, never to be heard from again.
As far as his album, I can only hope we get the album Vanessa Amorosi never got to release in the USA. (i'm still waiting for her turn...)

Worst case scenario for Adam is if his recording career doesn't take off, he returns to stage. Which really isn't a terrible career either, especially if it's Broadway and he does awards there and so on.
But i bet he'll put on one heck of a tour someday. lol

Anyone notice Adam's No Boundaries is one of the 10 greatest gainers at Alt with +36? I think it's just 1 station and it may die out through the weekend but its still pretty cool lol.

I heard Adam will be on the Early Show tomorrow morning! Very cool.
The more interviews Adam does, the more and more I like him.
The Itunes songs prove that he has a very recordable voice, as he sounds great in the studio, as well as live.
I cannot wait for his debut album! Hopefully, it will be this fall.

So Adam was asked about Clay Aiken and his rant over him and he said "He got some headlines for himself he didn't have before. I was glad I could help out." LOL
