It's a slow week in sales for everyone right now. January freeze is on. lol No worries. True, but for an album that is less than 2 months old to be almost out of the top 50 already is bad news. People would rather listen to chipmunks. :o His attitude is not helping either. Yes, he has been very nice to some and willing to sign autographs and take pictures, but that is just good business sense for any new artist. New artists need as many fans as they can get. The fans are viral marketers for him when they spread his music to their family and friends as well as praising him all over the Internet. That is probably almost as important as radio play. Maybe some don't mind being called sweaty and smelly. Maybe some don't mind being scolded for calling radio stations. Maybe some don't mind being told that he is not a babysitter when they voiced concerns about his sexual antics at the AI family friendly tour concert. Maybe some don't mind being scolded for reporting his whereabouts after he himself tweeted where he would be. But maybe some do. Women can be funny that way.

Yikes! That is a lot of bitterness to keep carrying around and for so long! I'm not bitter. I'm disappointed. I liked him on AI. I just feel let down. He is not the person I thought he would be. That is my fault, not his. I've tried to rationalize things because he is a newbie, but until he learns a little about PR and how to keep and make new fans, he is just meh to me. If you disagree, no problem. A lot of people disagree with me. ;)

Well the album has done well- but I think the reason it has not been a huge success- is not really his personal actions- but the album itself isn't that GREAT- I mean, i bought it, and I like "Music Again," "For Your Entertainment," "If I had You" and WWFM a lot but the rest I'm very so-so on and if I was honest, I'm not sure I could actually recommend it to people. I'm pretty objective even if I'm a big fan. But this CD, I'm not that excited playing it- not like I am when I put in Kelly's AIEW which is also a pretty eclectic album in terms of varied styles.

^ I'll respectfully disagree. I think the album is strong but it's obviously a matter of taste. Actually, I prefer it to AIEW where half the album sort of has a more dated, mid 00's pop/rock sound overall by comparison. That album has more skippers to me.
FYE touches so many sub-genres that I can see how it can be somewhat unnerving for someone who might prefer a mostly electropop album a la "If I Had You" or "For Your Entertainment" or a campy rock sound more reminiscent of The Darkness or Scissor Sisters like "Music Again" or traditional power ballads like "Time for Miracles" or the more melancholy Radiohead/Muse vibe as displayed on "Soaked" or "A Loaded Smile." You get my drift.
I think there's something to be had for just about everyone who enjoys pop/rock on the album but the album in its totality might not be everyone's cup of tea. That's the risk one takes when working with a laundry list of collaborators and styles. I happen to enjoy all of his rather obvious influences here so I likewise thoroughly enjoy this album.

Adam mention in RollingStone this month as one of the biggest losers of 2009. I thought they liked him. ??? That magazine can love you one minute and hate you the next. I still subscribe just because I've gotten the magazine for years. Thanks to the two people who replied to my question about Oprah. Sounds like Adam will get the royal treatment on her show. It will be interesting to see how big his album sales spike. Look for the Adam love to start tonight on AI.

Was that paparazzi flashes in the video? lol.
If women start chasing him in the video I'm gonna have bad Bo Bice "The Real Thing" flashbacks.

The video looks pretty standard/generic, I'll wait to pass judgment though after it airs.

FIRST LOOK: Adam Lambert Sits Down with OprahIt's hardly like Adam Lambert to be anything but upfront, so the recent mystery about his possible appearing with Oprah Winfrey on her show was a bit baffling. But baffle no more. While the American Idol sensation addressed the rumors and Twittered last Thursday, "Oprah: def true," word from the Winfrey camp reached PEOPLE to say that the 27-year-old and the media queen taped their interview Wednesday at the Harpo Studios in Chicago. The show will air Tuesday, Jan. 19. In the course of their sit-down, Lambert touched upon Simon Cowell's announced departure from Idol and its possible ramifications for the show, what life was like for him both pre-Idol and after, and his controversial performance at the American Music Awards. The singer also performed "Whataya Want from Me" from his new album For Your Entertainment. Also on the Oprah Winfrey Show with Adam: chart-topper Susan Boyle. www.people.com/people/article/0,,20336745,00.html

Yeah, this is the best he has ever looked- I mean, at the end of the tour he was looking fat- he was even getting a double chin- but he has really slimmed down. I hate to say it, because I need to lose weight, but just being thin sometimes makes all the difference, damn it!

They look like the most annoying boring bunch of musicians ever- but I do like Tommy, he's so weird.

Oh, c'mon, you've gotta give Lisa the keyboardist some credit for "riding horsie" on that girl's back!
And yes, Tommy is amazing. Nice to see him so giggly in this. If I didn't know better I would've sworn he was going in for a kiss at one point ;)

The regular version of the album has returned to the iTunes 200, while the deluxe re-enters the top 100!

Too fat Too angular. Liposuction and nose job makes him look like Michael Jackson. He should find a better compromise. He looks diseased.

He looks terrible in that white outfit. I never noticed he had a nose job, but now looking, it does look like it- great surgeon, whoever it was, it's never even crossed my mind he has had a nose job and I've looked at him quite a lot.

I don't care for the white outfit either, especially the matching fingerless gloves. LOL, oh, Adam....
But c'mon dude, Micheal Jackson? Seriously? Sorry, but NO.

LMAO! Adam was a poor sessions singer and cast member of Wicked with regular public performances prior to American Idol. His parents had to help him pay bills sometimes. Where was he supposed to find a world class plastic surgeon and how was he supposed to pay for it? He did not have a nose job or lipo. It's called dieting. You both are too funny. Thanks for the laugh! Here's another high school picture. I think it speaks for itself regarding his lack of plastic surgery
