On A Bad Bet.
Goes for adds June 15th.
I'm kind of shocked by Fall Out Boy's performance on Alternative this time around, as I think their music has only gotten better with age, but Alternative loves to crucify artists just as much as they glorify them. I hope their run with Blink-182 helps boost sales some, since they're only Gold right now with Folie, and while "I Don't Care" did admirably (although much worse than previous singles), "America's Sweethearts" definitely tanked.
I'm not sure this was the best song to push though. It's a fantastic song, but I think I would've gone with "What A Catch, Donnie" or "20 Dollar Nose Bleed" first.

I like this one, but I don't see it getting much airplay. It doesn't stand out too much, like What A Catch, Donnie would have. (Considering it uses parts of past popular Fall Out Boy songs). I would've sent What a Catch, Donnie, The (Shipped) Gold Standard, or Disloyal Order of Water Buffaloes.

The (Shipped) Gold Standard, or Disloyal Order of Water Buffaloes. Oh yes, those two are also good ones. I just thought "20 Dollar Nose Bleed" was pretty snappy and also has Urie to help boost attention.

So that's the next single? I just picked up this album, and it's the track that immediatly jumped out at me, apart from the other two singles. I can't imagine why this album isn't doing better because it's a really good album.

Yeah, it should be doing better, but I'm actually glad it's not considering then it'd be all over the place and I'd be getting super sick of it.

LMAO, finally they pick a song I love as a single. It will flop here even though its their most "alternative" single too date. It does have a hook but its not infectious enough.

Not a fan of Fall Out Boy, but I just wanted to say that this is one of my favorite song titles.

I'm literally obsessed with this song, too. It could totally cross over, if pop radio wasn't so retarded with all their Lady Gaga and Boom Boom Pow nonsense. Are people really into such mindless music? I know Fall Out Boy isn't exactly deep, but at least they have developed melodies and aren't just fooling around with autotune in the studio.

Well they're on a 'Headfirst Slide Into Obscurity', and boy am I glad. I will never understand the allure of coming into a thread about a band you don't like. You'll never catch me in a Journey or Goo Goo Dolls thread, for example. I hate those bands, but I have no need to go and start shit with their fans. I'm not even a huge fan of Fall Out Boy. I just think it's stupid and juvenile.

I'll give you "Boom Boom Pow," but Lady Gaga is the best thing to happen to the Pop chart this year. Yes, her songs are fluff and the album as a whole suffers as a result of that, but those first two singles are easily the best, singular Pop songs so far this year and it's looking like "Lovegame" will soon join them. Those beats and those melodies...God- damn.

Well, I really hate Lady Gaga. I wonder if I'm the only to think her music isn't super catchy but instead extremely annoying. About Black Eyed Peas, I enjoy some of their past stuff, however, what I've heard from the new album sucks hard.

Lady Gaga is the best thing to happen to the Pop chart this year. Hopefully you're being sarcastic. But in case you aren't: The best thing to happen to the pop chart this year has been the lack of support Hinder and Nickelback have gotten in contrast to the success of Shinedown ;)

Lady Gaga is pretty clearly a studio creation. I mean, maybe she can sing live, I don't know. I too am glad that we have less NIckleback and more Shinedown.

Lady Gaga is the best thing to happen to the Pop chart this year. Hopefully you're being sarcastic. Taken straight from my personal chart this week: LW TW 02. 02. Lady Gaga "Poker Face" [#2(3), 15 WOC] 11. 10. Lady Gaga featuring Colby O’Donis "Just Dance" [#5(3), 28 WOC] --- 47. Lady Gaga “Lovegame” (DEBUT) Lady Gaga is pretty clearly a studio creation. Well, you know what happens when you assume...

Ok, don't know why we are talking about freakin Lady Gaga still, but I think it might be my fault. Anyhow, I really love the Fall Out Boy track, and I hope it does well. I'm tempted to use the "deserve" word, but I hate when people do that. It's such a tight and catchy song, even if I can't figure out what the hell he is singing about.

I haven't heard this yet. But if it's at all like I Don't Care, then it will not do well.

He's singing about how he's sleeping with a married woman, and he's determined that "he won't end up like him", but in reality, he already is.

I couldn't even figure out the words til I found them online. I knew it was something about a wedding band, that's it. I love, by the way, how he hits that super low note in the first chorus. Dude has got some sick range.

Their album is not bad and HSICOABB is amazing. I don't get why they're getting so much hate.

That reminds me of the lead track on Hawthorne Heights' second album: "We Are So Last Year."

Not that I follow too much, but I actually saw Lady Gaga on American Idol this year and she can sing live AND she started the performance by playing piano and slowing down a jazzed version intro of Poker Face. I think she's a little more talented than we are led to believe so far.

I came to my conclusion because of how ridiculously auto tuned she sounds in her songs. I guess that's just the sound anymore.
