Or this one could be a single for the clubs and "Million Dollar Bill" will be for the mainstream formats. I'm kinda wondering the same thing. I haven't heard this other song, but maybe it's more upbeat? I mean, I love strength, but if she really wants to make a splash on mainstream radio, perhaps an energetic song is what they are going for (assuming it is). I just thought strength was the perfect song for her first single, but then again, I love my emotions and it was perfect for me for her first single. I guess that's why I don't listen to radio or follow the labels "calculated" release of singles. :)

Peter did remix that song too. I didn't care for it that much. It was just too mellow and mild for my liking. I felt that he could have done a nice dramatic mix.

i do think offer is in the wrong here, but peter is no angel. he used christina aguilera's vocals from "tell me" and called it "eyes on you" by "tina" and sold it on one of the I <3 compilations. He also leaked his own mashup of "toca's miracle" using the acapella he was given by the label for mariah's "we belong together." he is also selling his mix of "don't stop the music" on his site by "shanaynay." these are just a few examples!

Ok so is this the single or a promo single (Aka the first single from the era) that if it flops or gets bad Audience, spins. I need new Whitney mixes. A poster above mentioned Same Script, Different Cast...I LOVE THAT SONG and hear the JP mixes out at various clubs but only heard the Thunderpuss mixes online. Did that song do well on any chart? I felt it could have hit mainstream and esp dance by storm!

A live rip of Offer's mix has surfaced. It just sounds like the original sandwiched between an Offer production with some overlaying and looping.

there is a very HQ clip of peter's mix that is on facebook. the user is a friend who said he would put it on youtube tonight. it's a clip from the party both offer nad peter (must have been awkward) spun in barcelona this past wknd at circuit fest. they both played their mixes as the closers to their sets or so i've been told www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=109291188013&ref=nfp.s. doesn't it look like he is doing a bump at the end?!??! :o

The clip of Peter's sounds better than I was expecting it to be. But I would have to hear it in good quality to form a better opinion.
It looked like he was picking his nose at the end more than a bump. lol.

Wow....I really like them both. I am loving this song. I like how Offer's mix stays true to the original and has that smooth, dramatic sound, but Peter's mix is definitely anthemic in my opinion...it exemplifies a lot of classic Peter-energy that die-hard Peter fans are bound to love.

i disagree that peter's is anthemic or energetic. it's certainly got more oomph than much of his recent material but not nearly as good as say his mix of "don't stop the music."
offer should just stick to maya songs. his mix was def not worth burning the bridge with peter

i clicked the whitney banner on pulse and i was reading about the preorder on itunes...it says if you preorder you get a bonus track-a REMIX of "i didn't know my own strength!" i wonder what mix? prob some lame hip hop mix or something....i doubt they would send rauhofer's mix to mainstream america!

digitally delivered, just in time for the club tonight:
I Didn't Know My Own Strength (Peter Rauhofer Club Mix) 7:40 I Didn't Know My Own Strength (Daddy's Groove Club) 7:22 Whitney Megamix (Jody den Broeder & Warren Rigg Club Mix) 8:40 Whitney Megamix (Jody den Broeder & Warren Rigg Extended Mix) 9:21
The 2 megamixes are identical except for the Extended one includes the first verse of "I Will Always Love You", and the Club one does not. The other songs included are, in order: Greatest Love Of All (great keyboard work by Warren!), I Wanna Dance With Somebody, It's Not Right, and I'm Every Woman. I'm told Junior's megamix is more like a medley of existing remixes strung together - this I'm really looking forward to hearing, as JdB's and Warren's is just a tad too electro for my tastes.
It's striking how similar Peter's and Daddy's mix are to each other -- both really electro-flavored, and both kind of unconventional structure with the vocals. The 1st verse & chorus are beautiful and musical but with no beats, then it launches into a LONG section of beats (1-2 minutes) before getting to the 2nd verse or whatnot. Kinda strange. I'll have to do some re-editing of my own so my crowd won't get bored out on the floor - usually dropouts longer than a 32 count tend to fizzle unfortunately.

Some of the Junior Megamix (albeit an early draft) can be heard in part 7 of the Pacha Podcast posted on Pacha's website. It included some of "It's Not Right But It's Okay", "My Love Is Your Love" and "I'm Every Woman." It was just a short 2 to 3 minutes worth. Then he played some of his mixes of "Step By Step 2007" and "Get It Back".
EDIT: I heard the Rauhofer and Daddy's Groove mixes. Rauhofer's is okay. Not as electro-ish as I was expecting. But I wish it were more anthemic. The Daddy's Groove mix is in a similar direction. At least someone new was chosen.
The JdB/Rigg megamix is pleasant. I wish some more songs had been used. I'm not saying they needed to use like 10 of them. But maybe some of her earlier ones and then some recent ones. I like so many of her songs.

i like peter's mix a lot more than i expected to. it has enough vocals although i do wish he would have used the last line "i got to know my own strength." otherwise i'm a happy camper. i won't even listen to the megamix...i can't bring myself to hear how jody must have ruined "it's not right but it's ok."

Can somebody ID this remix? It's 7:46 long, originally labeled as the Hex Hector Mix (which I'm suspicious about) and the first verse starts at about 2:42. Funny thing is, the beats do sound kinda Hex-ish, although the synths are pretty basic and simple, they sound like something Rafael Lelis or Edson Pride would do. Does anyone know what the actual remix title of this is and/or if Mr. Hector did actually remix this song?
