Junior played the acapella over the beats from the intro of the Morales mix of "Dreamlover" at his Pride event a couple days ago. Some parts are totally acapella so you can get a taste of the vocals without any instrumental accompaniment.

Ew why would he play that like that? booooooring. If he had the acapella why didn't he do a proper mix? He totally got owned by rauhofer

Ew why would he play that like that? booooooring. If he had the acapella why didn't he do a proper mix? Because he doesn't know music theory, so whenever he tries to make a mashup, the songs are never in the same key and it ends up being a trainwreck. This one's no exception - the Dreamlover beats (it's not even the instrumental, it's just a couple 32's from the Tribal Mix looped over and over) is in Gm, and the Whitney song is in F# :( As much money as Junior has you'd think he could afford to take a few piano lessons or find out what a key signature is. I don't think he's ever done a mashup that's in tune - no exaggeration! If anyone can name one, please correct me. Unfortunatley the remix A&R guy for Whitney's label is gaga over Jr and that's how he got the acapella. Here's hoping he calls Joey M or one of his other programmers/engineers to help him do a remix, because the last couple Junior mixes I've heard for Britney have actually been pretty decent - I'd be curious to hear what a full-on production remix of his would sound like for this Whitney song. Although I'd love to get the acapella myself, I'd understand if the label wants to keep it locked up tight for fear of a million awful bootlegs being done a la Britney or Madonna.

As far as I know, he got the acapella too soon before the party to make a full mix. I'm sure he has some nice mixes in progress.
Also, since when do drums have a key, MA?

Here is the original... beautiful song... kinda makes me tear up a little bit, listening to it and thinking about her comeback...

I like the orig but I can't really see this as getting radio play. It's no "bleeding love." I can imagine it being a huge dance hit if the right mixes are done. So many of her dance hits weren't even radio blips...this one is just as good as "try it on my own." I wish thunderpuss could be lured out if retirement-if anyone could do that, it'd be Whitney!

Jonathan Peters & Tony Coluccio on the reeeeeemix.... Yay!! Hopefully it won't be something overly busy like some of his other mixes. Something along the lines of the "Until The End Of Time" or "Hurt" mixes would be nice.

MAJOR DRAMA:
PETER RAUHOFER'S FACEBOOK SAYS OFFER NISSIM STOLE THE WHITNEY ACAPELLA AND THAT HE, SONY AND WHITNEY ARE DISGUSTED WITH OFFER! SOUNDS LIKE OFFER JUST ENDED HIS CAREER IN THE USA. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME OFFER HAS STOLEN MIXES AND DONE OTHER SHADY THINGS. I CAN'T BELIEVE PETER WOULD PUT THIS ON HIS FACEBOOK THOUGH! CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HOW THIS UNFOLDS! WONDER IF PETER'S MIX WILL BE RELEASED NOW????

wow then peter said this in the comment to his own post:
"There is a reason WHY Offer Nissim NEVER officially got hired to remix any major label artist. EVERYTHING he ever does he then leaks (even his own productions...) EVERY remix he ever did (Madonna, MJ, Jennifer Lopez..) he remixed un-commissioned from illegally achieved accapellas and THEN he even bootlegged them on his "Happy People/Forever Tel Aviv" series and brought himself into MAJOR difficulties- a reason WHY Star 69 never was able to release these compilations here because it was filled with his bootleg remixes. This time he went too far. His ego is out of control. He honestly believes he is bigger than Madonna. Too bad Madonna doesnt even know WHO he is."

Wow at all this. I knew this would happen eventually. It's interesting that this is happening right now.
I wonder if Offer will be allowed to spin with Peter at that event that's being advertised on his site in August? And will Offer/Maya be dropped from the Star 69 label?
And there's that new Suzanne Palmer/Offer track in the pipeline.
EDIT: It had been rumored late last year/early this year that Offer was trying to get into some sort of a deal with Sony BMG so he could get his work 'legitamized' so it could be released properly but nothing came of it.
I don't know how all this signing and licensing stuff works so I'm just going based on what I heard/read.

Hosh confirms offer was not hired to do this. He said Peter and jdb(sarcastic greeeeeeat) were commissioned to do mixes for the album but he did phrased it that way and did not state it was for this single specifically. I really hope Peter doesn't get pulled from the project over the offer drama because I will be devestated if we get stuck with just Jody. Someone threw around Jonathan Peters' name but that must just be rumor and I guess Junior isn't doing one-although that makes me wonder why he got the acapella that he played at NY Pride(unless it's for the megamix; speaking of megamix are he and Jody working together or are they each doing one? Hosh's wording was unclear.) Peter better have his "beautiful" mix in the back of his mind when he does this one.... Tony is not doing this-he is concentrating on finishing his own album right now Frankly, I'm starting to get over this song. I do not think it will be a pop hit and they better have some amazing mixes...I'll be sad if DJs play this JUST because it's Whitney and not because it's a good dance song.

for the record, offer nissim is a female to male transsexual. born a woman but living now as a man. i always found it odd he chose to have long hair since that is a female thing typically. he obviously had his breasts removed but i don't know what he has had done DOWN THERE(nor do i want to know.) i know people are speculating about offer's sexual identity on rico, but i have received my info first hand from a dj who has worked with offer on several mixes. i've been told that there is an interview somewhere in which offer discusses all this. idk where to find it though. i personally do not care at all but i wanted to set the record straight.

because I will be devestated if we get stuck with just Jody. Jody did justice to Diane Warren penned Henri's "When You Walk Away" so I trust that he will bring his A-game to Whitney's new Warren track. I'm sure that plenty other remixers will be added to the list as well.

Someone threw around Jonathan Peters' name but that must just be rumor.... That's not a rumor - trust. Whether or not they were officially commissioned by Hosh to do a mix, or they simply did a spec mix on their own and are submitting it unsolicited, JP and Tony C are at least halfway through a remix of "Didn't Know My Own Strength". Don't ask me how I know this.

Jonathan's last few mixes have been pretty good, such as the Shakira, Donna Summer, Alicia Keys, The Brand New Heavies, etc. I recently got into his Whitney/Deborah mix from back in the day. There was a time I didn't like that mix.

There was a time I didn't like that mix. i ldo ike his mix of "same script" but do prefer the thunderpuss mix of that. idk why thunderpuss did not include deb's little solo part "this is a retake of your life, you were his star for many nights.......i'm the future, you're his paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaast." also a fan of jessica folker "to be able to love" and tamia "can't go for that" why is he working with tony c....i thought tony only assisted escape?

I think Tony Coluccio has been working with JP much longer than he's been working with Escape.

Tony has worked with Jonathan for a long time. Whitney's "My Love Is Your Love", Whitney / Deborah's "Same Script, Different Cast", Amber's "Above The Clouds", Amanda Ghost's "Idol", Jessica Folker's "To Be Able To Love", Tamia's "Can't Go For That", Spice Girls' "Tell Me Why", Vitamin C's "Me, Myself & I" and many others.
He also worked with Tony Moran on CΓ©line Dion's "It's All Coming Back To Me Now", Michael Jackson's "HIStory", Cher's "Dov'Γ¨ L'Amore"...

now they are saying that the lead whitney single will be "million dollar bill" to be released on july 28th. i wonder if these mixes will all be shelved?!?!?!?!!?!?!? i doubt this offer drama had anything to do with the change in song lol i'm sure it was more about the lukewarm reception the leaked ballad got.
