Can somebody ID this remix? It's 7:46 long, originally labeled as the Hex Hector Mix (which I'm suspicious about) and the first verse starts at about 2:42. Funny thing is, the beats do sound kinda Hex-ish, although the synths are pretty basic and simple, they sound like something Rafael Lelis or Edson Pride would do. Does anyone know what the actual remix title of this is and/or if Mr. Hector did actually remix this song? Is it this one? www.imeem.com/people/kCJdBwy/music/9j2CxSGh/whitney-houston-i-didnt-know-my-own-strength-rafael-lelis/If so, then that's the Rafael Lelis one.

I should've known it was him, his sound is getting better and better with each new mix (although still not my cup of tea). I'm so annoyed at people who purposely mislabel mixes with fake names - in the past few days I've gotten (1) a supposed "Metro" mix of Like I Never Left ....which turned out to be just the album version looped with cheesy beats over it, (2) a "Passengerz" mix of Madonna's Dance 2Night, which turned out to be MY OWN mashup (!) looped twice, and (3) this one...all from the same person! I'm starting to have serious doubt's about this guy's credibility - what do you guys think?

Usually when it comes to stuff that is really rare or questionable, sometimes it's an honest mistake if they have something mislabeled that someone else gave them or if they found it. But if they are doing it on purpose, that isn't good either. On a similar note, my own Mariah mashup from last year is going around as a Tony Moran & Warren Rigg mix. It was on all the blogs and everything. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pgsar7GVsp0Whoever posted it edited the full mix and cut off the ending.

Just in time with the release of the new album, here's my remix video for the awesome Megamix by Jody dB and Warren Rigg, I totally loved it for the first time I heard it and I had to do a video, which I finished last weekend :). I know it's almost 10 min long, but it's worth it. I hope you enjoy it. :) www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fqj8YbN_tsY

Tony took peters mix and added a ton to it and it's the anthem it should be. He also played a mix if "I look to you" tonight that is up there with "you'll never stand alone!"

Do you think it was Tony's mix of "I Look To You"? Perhaps it's Johnny Vicious' mix(es). Hosh was saying that it was quite the anthem. I would have to hear it myself to truly judge that. ;)

The label pressed up these promo CD-R's for distribution, but didn't even bother to make the tracks .wav files, they're mp3 quality only. Yet another sad example of the "dumbing down" of industry standards by people who really should know better.

Just released on i-Tunes as a remix EP: Whitney Houston - I Didn't Know My Own Strength (Peter Rauhofer Radio Edit) 3:04 (Peter Rauhofer Mixshow) 5:15 (Daddy's Groove Magic Island Radio Mix) 3:11 (Daddy's Groove Magic Island Mixshow) 5:19 (Daddy's Groove Magic Island Club Mix) 7:23 Surprisingly the Jonathan Peters mix didn't get commercially released (at least not yet) which is baffling - his mix is far & away the best remix of the song period. No full Peter mix or 3 Junior mixes either - which I guess is somewhat less surprising. (no offense Billy!)

I like what Offer has done with keeping the majority of the chords intact, but I'm totally confused as to why he only used the first verse. It would have been fantastic if he used the whole song!

And yet Peter accused he/she/it of stealing the pella... It seems he came to the conclusion that the only way Offer could do a mix of that song was to steal the acapella. It probably never crossed his mind that Offer could use the album version or filter some select parts. I'm assuming he just went straight to that conclusion. I doubt he had even heard the mix at that time.
