This recent top-3 Country hit is going for AC adds on August 17.
Great song - I think we may be seeing it on the Hot AC charts too.

Songs seem to move alot slower on AC than country. I think after this peaks, he could released "Only You Can Love Me This Way", or even "Standing Right In Front of You". The problem I think, though, is that his time in this era (Defying Gravity) for country seems to be winding down, so not so sure he'll want a song from this era charting on AC while he's putting new material out on country.

I'm not sure I can agree with that. It seems to me Adult Contemporary-leaning artists seem to have a better time selling records these days than dyed-in-the-wool, true blue Country artists are. Granted Country album sales had a meager decline in 2009 from 2008 while other genres except for jazz suffered much steeper losses, but when you leaf through the top-selling Country artists of 2009, most of them are Adult Contemporary-leaning anyway, namely Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood. Even Darius Rucker's "History In The Making" and the Zac Brown Band's "Whatever It Is" strike me as AC-leaning. I think, if anything, increasing emphasis on AC radio for Keith Urban would be a net gain for him. He already has a large crossover hit under his belt ("You'll Think Of Me") and it certainly didn't hurt him as he has picked up three more #1 hits on Country since then. Sincerely, Lisping Hibiscus
