^ If you haven't seen the Baltimore Never Again, I recommend that you do. Best performance of that song IMO. It's an amazing performance. I honestly liked the way she looked the most during the "My December," even if she was heavier than the she was during the "Breakaway" era. She looks amazing. I also like this performance of "Behind These Hazel Eyes," I was at that show. She was amazing!

I think I just fell in love with the AIEW album. About damn time, too. I think I like it as much as Thankful now. Really? I like it way more than Thankful. Here's how my ranking goes: 1. My December 2. All I Ever Wanted 3. Breakaway 4. Thankful What's yours?

1: Breakaway 2. AIEW (VERY close though, but INOWL is just not my cup of tea, so BA takes the cake) 3. Thankful 4. MD. (I know, I'm a bad Kelly fan, but something with this album just didn't click with me. I'm weird and like the hyper-overproduced Kelly more than the raw one)

She looked so good during the 2W2V tour. That she did. Can't believe that was only a year ago. The top spot actually depends on what mood I'm on, but thankful will always be last on the list. If we're going to go song for song.... AIEW BA MD Thankful However, her ballads/slower songs on MD are among her best.

I vote for All I Ever Wanted! I agree. I voted for that a few days ago when I wrote my opinion on the album. I think "All I Ever Wanted" is the best song on the album.

I don't think you're a bad Kelly fan, I've gone to 3 of her concerts so I don't consider myself a bad fan at all, I just really don't find MD as appealing as her other CD's, although I got it first day and I do like it.

Yeah, it has nothing to do with being a bad fan! Actually I think it's great to have such diversity among her fans!! And yay for Already Gone! I don't know if it'll be the huge hit it deserves to be, but it's already done wonders!!

I don't know if anybody here has better web investigative skills than I do, but my wife swears she heard on Fresh 102.7 yesterday that they had an interview with Kelly up on their website, but I only got to the site today and couldn't locate it. Could be they've taken it down already. www.fresh1027.com/

LOL- this so random, but, I just found a hip-hop group called "Physha P Fam" with a song called 'Here I Am', which samples 'Hazel Eyes': www.myspace.com/physhapWhether you’re a fan or not, you’re no doubt familiar with Kelly Clarkson‘s megahit Behind These Hazel Eyes; released in 2005 as the third single off sophomore album Breakaway, the record continues to receive radio play to this day. Be that as it may, Arman “Bebe Boohgz” Dixon and Sumu “Wa Peace” Walusimbi of Physha P have accomplished the seemingly-impossible feat of making this well-worn record sound new again. Here I Am, a cut off the duo’s forthcoming Welcome to NEXT Level Hip-Hop mixtape, finds Boohgz refashioning the American Idol winner’s chart-smashing breakup song into a driving, guitar-heavy beat, and both members match the instrumental’s intensity with high-energy verses detailing their plans to conquer the rap game. Here I Am introduces Physha P as a duo with plenty of potential, and should help build anticipation for NEXT Level Hip-Hop‘s March release. You can also listen here: www.djbooth.net/index/tracks/review/physha-p-ft.-kelly-clarkson-here-i-am/#ixzz0Wz7grCshI think this is pretty cool. It blended pretty well. I think her voice could work wonders in a collab with a rapper. I, for one, would totally be open to that idea.

With the spins for the BA as steady as they are (it's quite amazing, really), does anyone know how much sales are for BA now?
It'd be cool to know how many CDs she's actually selling every week (Thankful + BA + MD + AIEW) because, after all, this is the true value Kelly represents for the label.

Breakaway songs are all such smashes, unbelievable. And look at MI, it really is a huge hit, 6 years later still getting all those spins. WOW.

I'm actually really liking the live arrangements this time around, probably because of the brass section lol. I wouldn't be surprised if she closes future tours with this track. I'm really upset that I'm in Europe while Kelly's touring the US, and I'll be back in the states when Kelly tours Europe. I really wanted to see this show. :'(

I loved the version of How I Feel she did with the horn section a few years ago. Wind instruments generally are good for complementing a vocalist rather than drowning her out, so they make sense in the way Kelly's songs are arranged to put her vocals front and center. You can tell from that video and others that Kelly and the band are having a blast closing the show with MLWSWY.

MLWSY closing was great, everyone in the arena really just explodes, the song itself is so joyous and full of positive energy that it makes everyone leave with a really big smile on their face. Or maybe just me?

courtesy varlums at the KCE... The Decade's 50 Most Important RecordingsTop row, left to right: Beyonce, Wilco; Second row: Thom Yorke of Radiohead, Sam Beam of Iron and Wine, Norah Jones; Bottom row: American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson, Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, Jay Z. November 16, 2009 - It seemed like an impossible task, but that didn't stop us from trying. With the first decade of the new millennium coming to a close, we decided to compile a list of the 50 most important recordings of the past 10 years - a list that covers a wide range of styles and genres, with indelible songs and albums that challenge, inspire and captivate. These are the game-changers: records that signaled some sort of shift in the way music is made or sounds, or ones that were especially influential or historically significant. Favorite records don't necessarily qualify. A lot of people, including nearly everyone at NPR Music, love Fleet Foxes' debut album, but was it one of the decade's most important? (You can tell us what you think in the comments section below.) The 50 recordings that appear here are listed alphabetically. We've included artists and bands from a number of musical worlds, from dubstep and hip-hop to Top 40 pop, classical, jazz, world, beardy folk, metal and hard rock. There's some country, too, but admittedly no grindcore or goa trance. (Again, you can tell us what you think in the comments section below.) A lot of people, including All Songs Considered listeners, helped put this list together. As we culled through the nominees, tears were shed and arguments were had. But one thing we all agreed on: This was one of the best decades yet for music. We can't wait to hear what comes next. The 50 Most Important Recordings:Hear the music and read our reviews. Say what you will about American Idol; its impact on the pop-music landscape is unmistakable. Even as the music business shrinks, the show has spawned tens of millions in album sales and directly launched massively successful careers in country (Carrie Underwood), R&B (Jennifer Hudson) and rock (Chris Daughtry). All of which might have been thwarted early on had the show's first winner, Kelly Clarkson, not become a massive pop star -- her success, remember, was hardly a foregone conclusion at the time. Clarkson didn't just sell a lot of records; she also sold a lot of good records, and 2004's Breakaway shows her at her spiky, poppy best. She managed to overcome the stigma of American Idol and even the laughable movie spin-off From Justin to Kelly, and wrote a workable playbook for seemingly disposable pop stars who want to stick around longer than anyone expects. -- Stephen Thompsonwww.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=120326033Explore The Full List www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=120326033#list

Kelly's name on that list and her being one of only elite list of acts (and the only Idol alum) nominated for Rolling Stone's Artist of the Decade objectively solidifies her rather large impact on music history in the 2000s ! Here is another NPR story on Kelly's 'Since U Been Gone' since they are doing a song of the day from Nov 9-20 to comemmorate the decades impact on music in general: The Decade In Music: Kelly Clarkson's 'Since U Been Gone' (2005)by Stephen Thompson Listen: 'Since U Been Gone' by Kelly Clarkson In "Since U Been Gone," Clarkson belts out one of the decade's great pop songs, infusing it with energy and charisma. Monday's Pick •Song: "Since U Been Gone" •Artist: Kelly Clarkson •CD: Breakaway•Genre: Pop-Rock November 16, 2009 - [Every weekday from Nov. 9 to Nov. 20, Song of the Day is surveying the past decade, one year (and one song) at a time, with an emphasis on America's most popular music. These picks don't exactly qualify as musical discoveries, but they do have something to say about the 10 years we're about to leave behind. Song of the Day will return to new music on Monday, Nov. 23. -ed.] At the end of every American Idol season, the big winner has to sing a show-stopping ballad - a never-before-heard piece of mawkish flotsam about dreaming big, accomplishing a goal, having faith in oneself, giving thanks, climbing mountains, dreaming dreams, and rhyming "believe" with "achieve." Season after season, it's the most inauspicious possible way to launch a pop career. For the show's first-ever winner, Kelly Clarkson, that song was "A Moment Like This," which could have just as easily served as the love theme for an animated Disney adventure about a peasant princess who finds love with the aid of a sass-talking anteater; it was immediately followed by the universally laughed-at From Justin to Kelly, a cash-in movie musical that doubled as an instant punchline. But something happened on the way to oblivion: Clarkson's glossy 2003 debut (Thankful) was buoyed by a few slickly delightful pop songs, and its follow-up, Breakaway, was even better. In the dynamite 2005 single "Since U Been Gone," she belts out one of the decade's finest pop anthems, following a familiar formula - jilted ex-girlfriend indignantly declares independence - but infusing it with energy, charisma and full-throated intensity. Sure, the over-the-top, loud-louder-loudest production helps. But it's an unmistakably great pop-rock song, thanks most of all to an unmistakably great pop-rock singer. Sadly, "Since U Been Gone" also spawned a video, which undercuts its message to an alarming degree: The words say "Since you've been gone / I can breathe for the first time," but the pictures say, "Breaking up with you necessitates destroying all of your property." So much better that she commemorate her newfound freedom by moving on to a new life in which she leaves his possessions with a friend, feels better about herself, and sells 10 million records. Why get the cops involved? www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=5244882
