I don't think someone simply posting "thank God!" would be an issue at all. However saying things like "we'll see who's laughing in the after life" and throwing up verses is a bit too much. That was recently stated by someone else. All I did was thank Jesus and it started up. The verses wasn't for any purpose but to show Martss. Alright, serious question: Would people prefer Mariah not have gospel type (Fly Like A Bird, I Wish You Well, My Saving Grace) songs on her album? Just curious, aside from all the other talk. I actually think she should have more songs like those and "Hero."

The issue started long before that statement, and the picture of Mariah's face on God's body was where it was taken too far. The picture was clearly done in a humorous way and was not intended to offend any particular group of people; the thread had clearly taken a very negative turn and it was just a way to lighten the overall mood. The tone behind someone hinting a member will go to hell is a completely different situation. IMO

IMO those are some of the best songs on those respective albums...IWYW was clearly the best ballad on the album to me

Speaking of Mariah posting on forums... Everybody go here: www.neogaf.com/forum/member.php?u=19493It's the most popular gaming forum on the web, and "Mariah" has had an account for more than two years. Some of the members think it's really her! Some of you Mariah experts should read the posts to determine if that account is genuine (as if).

Why are we discussing religion or faith in a Mariah thread? Damn, Mimi news is coming slow.

There are plenty of interests I share with Mariah Carey. Eating KFC, black men, etc. That doesn't mean It's on topic to discuss my love of them in this thread. LMAO! You are on a roll.

Im only going to address the issue Will brought up and move on..if my comment about laughing in the after life (which clearly didnt say anyone is going to hell) offends anyone...well certain posters who disparage the lords name, or put up pics of him on celebs bodies or as one poster stated religious crap, offends those who are religious ......respect is a two way street and everyone here should stay on topic so nonone gets offended.......everyone here seems to make everything into a joke

So whatever responses came from it are just as excusable as the pics were "humorously" intended to lighten.

I doubt Mariah's ever played a video game, but it's worth reading "her" posts; some of them are pretty funny.

We should really leave religion out of this since it's a senstive topic, or in this case, off topic.

I just watched "Adventures of Mimi" for the first time in two years and OMG it was truly the best concert dvd [besides "TVR" and "Stripped In UK] I've seen !!! The BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT WAS SHE DIDN'T COMPLETELY SING "CAN'T LET GO"! :O Blasphemy!!! The outfits were atrocious as well, however, all is forgiven. She made up for it by singing "Hero", "Fantasy", "My All", "I'll Be There", "Vision of Love", and "Make It Happen", and "Butterfly". Such a good era of music for her.
If any lambs haven't purchased this dvd PLZ DON'T HESITATE!

^ Really? I purchased the dvd and was completely disappointed by her vocals throughout (aside form a select few performances). The looks throughout were also pretty bad but I did really enjoy the Don't Forget About Us performance look.

I'm just saying, just be cautious that there are different types of folk on here who may not share the same views or may be sensitive to topics like those.

However she regained some strength towards "I'll Be There". Speaking of "IBT" I'm watching her Unplugged DVD. Her vocals are literally night and day compared to Mimi dvd. :( Such a shame. But whatever, "Emotions" era will remain one of my favorite albums of hers.

She wasn't fat, but she was too big to pull off that look.

I've never been to Mariah concert. The last time she was in my city, people said that she was good but was acting like a diva. She changed clothes after every song. LOL I really want to see how she is live.

I can't even imagine how her live vocals will sound like this era. I've already forgiven the MJ tribute and I dislike "Obsessed" so its not fair for me to judge that performance last week either. She better dig deep and at LEAST sound like 2005 eras. Hell I'll take Charmbracelet vocals.

Mariah has mostly been known as a studio singer. If she can go into the studio and record songs "within her current range" then her live performances wouldn't be so bad. She sets the bar SO HIGH because her studio vocals are so demanding!

And did she sound as good that close as she did on the DVD? I thought she nailed it, and that's a pretty hard one to do live.

^ That's exactly it, and she sets her songs up so that she only has room to breathe for a quarter of a second before she has to sing the next line. Again, if that makes sense.
@tweetmebaby, she sounded great! DFAU and ABMB were my favorite performances of the night besides the MIH/WBT/VOL towards the end.
