I don't know if this will work. I don't know many who would listen to a station playing David Matthews, Marky Mark, Coolio, Nirvana, Montell Jordan and Culture Beat all in the same hour. I personally would, but I don't see a broad audience catching on to it without a good amount of 00s or 80s thrown in. Seems like another Movin disaster ready to happen.

100.5 has been in flux ever since WTFX abandoned that frequency. I don't quite understand why they're trying this format, though; they may have been classified as a Hot AC, but they were actually closer to a Jack station before the switch, playing adult-oriented songs 80s-00s with very few currents in there. (WXMA is this market's actual HAC.) If that format failed, I'm not sure who they think wants an all-90s nostalgia station. To their credit, they at least seem to be playing a decent mix and including a few songs you don't hear much anymore.

I'd totally listen to an all-8090s station.

I think most people I know that are my age would have this as a top 3 preset. People are always talking about how music was better in the 90's.

Living in a former Movin' market, I didn't know anyone my age who didn't have Movin' on their presets either (when they did listen to the radio), and the concept still failed. I doubt this station is targeting a much different demo than Movin' was, but I think that's the main problem here. The iPod-carrying demo that this station and others like it are targeting don't tune in to the radio anymore.
It just may work in a smaller market like Louisville though.

Same...just don't know many Sublime fans that also like Cathy Dennis - 90s seems too musically fragmented to fit on one station
