^Yes, he is. They booked him for that show on the last minute, after GMA cancelled his scheduled appearance.

Looks like someone has confused the Early Show with the Daily Show.

Getting booked on the Early Show isn't exactly a feat... no one watches it. They have half the ratings of GMA and even less than that of TODAY

Yikes! This is turning into the Janet Jackson disaster, of which she never recovered. Exactly. He might have some vocal support right now and in the foreseeable future but my guess is for his longterm career in the US he has done more harm than good. I wonder if that Oprah appearance will still happen just for starters. He's shown that he's sort of a risk for daytime programming. Why bother with the hassle if there's other artists out there wanting on your show. As has been mentioned, this guy is a newbie and has yet to have a hit. Who cares if he was runner-up on a talent show and that some big $$ guys in the industry thought they could make some money on him. He still may do well (and it's very likely to still happen in the short term and on this album) but without radio play no pop artist lasts. His name isn't Norah Jones or the DMB that can sell very well without radio. TBTP have to be worried by now about the lack on radio unless there's some kind of mysterious plan going on here. My morning DJ simply said that his AMA performance was creepy.

My morning DJ simply said that his AMA performance was creepy. You know so much about the long term effect of his action? Risk for day time show? He was on idol for a good few months and performed up a storm after the finalle on all network television. Have you heard anything happened during those times? Everything except the kiss was in the rehersal and approved by producers. Why do you think they keep talking during breaks that his performance will be "eye popping" and "sure to be the talk of town in the morning"? Why did they schedule him at 11pm? They've used him for the AMA ratings. AMA had the most to gain as the were in the news all over the place because of Adam. They told him before the show that it was okay to do them (except the kiss which I don't believe is the main complain and then afterwards shifted the blame. You think Oprah will be so easily manipulated by the networks?

Oprah will have him on still. Who cares, she has nothing to lose...her show is ending in 2011 anyway. LOL Side note- has Oprah ever had Lady Gaga on????

what is the point releasing this when evidently they have scrapped the song for wwfm? rca is looking like a bunch of desperate hacks, adam's becoming more and more douchey and arrogant with each day... big balls for someone with 2 flop singles and nonexistent airplay... and the only entertainment to be had is the sideshow circus this has devolved into... just scrap wwfm too, because adam and rca aren't seemingly too concerned with focusing on the music. let him go play with the other wanna be pop singer famewhores like paris hilton's and lindsay lohan...

You think Oprah will be so easily manipulated by the networks? I think you missed my point but I see that you just joined the board today to defend Adam (PR control from the label?). No biggie. We'll all be on talking about the next big event in a week or so. Bottom line - Adam should have saved it for his own audience at his own concerts. I think it hurt his career more than helped it but then again I've had reservations about him being as marketable as the big guns (and the money they have put behind him) must think he is.

Over 200K would be okay but considering all the promo, AMA, etc. I think something closer to 300K would be better. RCA has put a ton of $ into this album. It should have an opening week close to what Cook did last year. He sold 280K and that was without being on sale at Amazon for $3.
The first week for an Idol is mostly the fanbase (sometimes buying more than one album to get the bonus stuff) so I could see this going to 230-240K.

I would be surprised if it did 240k. I think the 150k estimate seems reasonable.

I love the video. Very cool.
Oh, and I don't care what Adam says. Forcing your dancers face into your crotch without him even knowing about it beforehand is a crappy thing to do.

Will Amazon sales of the album for $3.99 count? I'm reading that heavily discounted albums don't count? Anyone know.
