^ Thats odd. I think this should've/could've/would've been a hit if radio gave it a chance. Maybe if Whatya Want From Me is a hit then radio will embrace FYE, idk.

We should probably see how it does in Europe before we think about trying to push it back on radio.

You know, I kinda hope they re-release FYE at a later time. It's too good to let it just die.

FYE is the official UK single for Adam according to an interview Adam did with The Times which is apparently a big UK newspaper.
From the article:
FYE (the Brad Walsh Remix) is being used as the music of E!'s new re-branding campaign for itself. You can watch the commercial from E! here:

This is going to be released in the UK at the beginning of April. He's going there to promote at the end of march, and again at the end of April. :)

I don't think they should ever go near this again for the US...clearly people didn't like it the first time, why would they the 2nd time?

I feel like if it weren't for the AMAs, the song would have been really big. The music video has over 1million views (the Low Quality on YT), and then the VEVO Youtube of this has over 500,000...which is wayyyyy more than WWFM has. I dunno..but I do think it will be really successful overseas.

No, the song was dead long before the AMAs. The AMAs sealed the deal, but it had already been out over a month and not done anything. Clearly the song just wasn't right for the US, and Whataya Want From Me was a much better choice.

FYE's problem was that it was too blatantly gay for America. Period. End of discussion.
However, the UK will have no problem with it, since they're more open-minded than the US.

it's not too gay. By just listening to the lyrics (and hardly anybody listens to the lyrics), you could never tell it was a gay man singing about another gay man. Now maybe once you see a video or a live performance, then yes. But just hearing it on the radio...i still don't understand what the problem is. It's a great song with a great melody. If Adam were straight it wouldn't even be an issue. Then he would be singing about a girl...that is, if anyone is really paying attention to the lyrics. Most people, i would presume, listen to melodies and phrases. I highly doubt people put 2 and 2 together and think...."wait a minute! He's singing about a gay man! This is disgusting!" lol...i don't think so.

I think the problem was that FYE didn't get to all stations and all people in the first place because the PDs didn't want to add it thinking it was too gay. I think the PDs have to know what's going on in the music world and so I'm sure they knew before FYE was released who Adam was and knew he was gay, so imo, the PDs are the ones that decided the lyrics were too gayish and caused FYE to flop and not the general public.

This never sounded like a hit to me. Not in the US or anywhere else. I'm surprised it is seeing some success in other territories.

FYE just isn't good enough--it's got about 5 seconds of catchy (which they use in commercials) and the rest is just blah. And his voice on FYE is that higher-pitched screamy voice, which can be off-putting, especially when you're just listening to it on the radio. I remember during Idol my radio station would play some of his performances over the air and they commented that they just didn't like the sound without the visual. It's a polarizing sound.
His voice on WWFM is somewhat better--not so much screaming. Plus the song is just miles better than FYE.

FYE is doing well in Canada, as well as European countries. It's just here where it didn't take off. Clearly, it was America's problem, not the song's problem. It did very well in Asia too, and it wasn't even officially released there.

Then props to America, because the song is a disaster. WWFM is 100000x better.
