i cant wait for this song to be released, hopefully she can get her 3rd #1 hit with this song! That would be cool. Her third number one being three.  But I'm not holding my breath for it. |

So Circus era is officially over? That was fast. ^ They released four singles, which is pretty standard. And this song sure as hell better not have a breakdown where it just goes THREE THREE THREE THREE THREE THREE-EE-EE-EE or some s**t. Considering the fact that this is the only new song...it better be so EPIC that I forget that I am buying the boxset of singles I already have for just one song...yeah...um that |

^Shes not going to have the comeback hype around her this time... with all the new releases coming this fall and even that week ( Nov. 24th) if she doesnt promote this will flop. Its crazy to me how money hungry Jive and Britney are...she just did a Greatest Hits! Should be interesting since Gaga,Rihanna, and some others are releasing that week Such a h888888ter. Is rihanna confirmed for 11/24. Gaga and that Adam guy are, though. As it is a singles collection at top 10 5 is reasonable. A #1 would be a delight but not too expected. We rather see this sell enough to go platinum. That is the main goal. Please be a great song and video. |

I wonder if this can pull a "Womanizer" and go #1 on Hot 100 based on downloads alone. What's its competition? Eh. I doubt it, unless the song is ultra hot. She isn't going to be selling 300k off of a Greatest Hits single. Aguilera's KGB could only land 140k with a month long repressed single, numerous high profile performances on the VMA's and AMA's and a music video. I don't see this doing huge digital numbers even though Britney is a huge digital mover. I'm expecting 140k + first week at the most. LOL at you comparing the two like its 1999. Although, I certainly wouldn't expect 300k but not for the reason you mentioned ;) |

It's a master global hit even not having going #1 on Hot 100, but It would definitely be #1 on Hot 100 if digital downloads were hotter that age. That's the main difference, I h8 on Gaga, Rihanna and other act fans, They got a better time to peak higher, I doubt they would do well If it was back in years where digital downloads weren't hot! |

To reiterate from the SC thread...
The box-set edition sounds amazing! It seems as though Jive is actually putting some thought and effort into this project, surprisingly enough. I just hope the artwork is up to par.
As for '3', it's going to be HOT, no doubt in my mind.

I just wish there was more than 1 new song. :( I wanted 3 or something. A new photoshoot would be nice, but there probably won't be one. I hope they at least use some pictures no one has seen, like with the GH:MP cover. |

Thats true what you said about the single collection, but just think if the track is hot enough it will be like rihannas disterbia! and plus i think the whole gaga trend is settling down a bit, not going down but finding a steady place, cuz paparazzi didnt do as good as the 3 singles...it is doing good but not as good...everytime britney released a new song, with new album her songs go straight to number 1 on itunes, and itunes is a big help, and this time "3" the single is going to be released to radio first so it can gain airplay, and then on itunes when its doing pretty well on radio, so maybe she will reach a highpeak with the single!!! |

Hopefully the Box set is released in Venezuela, it seems like it's really worth the price, including all her singles + videos.
I don't think this one is going to go #1, but another top ten would be amazing for her. Shame she only has one new song in the album.

I will definitely be picking up this box set. I think 3's chances of a #1 are soley dependent on how good the track is. Sales of the Singles Collection itself is a different story. I don't even see it debuting top 5 and as B Monroe stated, probably won't even go gold. That's just the way things are with this being a collection album and the state of record sales being what they are. However, I'm almost positive we will be getting a new studio album next year---she has been recording like crazy! That will be her next disc to hit #1.
The rumor on exhale is that this will leak tomorrow. It came from a person that is known to work at a radio stations. Apparently they will have the track tomorrow. Anyone know anything about this here?

Well, we need to see how Madonna's GH does. If that one pulls good numbers then I see Britney doing better numbers. I don't think so anyways, I think the best way to get money from this project would be the singles, but since she only has one new song in the whole collection, I think they need to have crazy promo to get decent numbers.

OMG! People make me laugh. "The lyrics aren't that good". You get that from ONE line? Dear lord. Plus, lets not compare this to Keeps Getting Better. RCA sucks for promoting. It didn't even make Top 10 on Pop, the video sucked and was released after the song already peaked digitally, not to mention, she didn't have the greatest promo. The VMA performance happened before it was even close to reaching its peak in popularity. Not everything has to be compared to something else.

I don't expect The Singles Collection to sell well or go to #1 at all, this album is more of a gift to the fans, a collector's item. I don't think many people are going to want to fork over lots of money unless they are a hardcore fan like myself.  |
