How do you break ties for ranking? (since I can see you don't have ties in your ranking) I go in chronological order. Dolly Parton ranks above Reba McEntire because Parton got her 25th #1 in 2006 with When I Get Where I'm Going with Brad Paisley. About five years later, McEntire netted her 25th with Turn On The Radio in 2011.

I have updated Blake Shelton's #1s totals to 26 with God's Country. Congratulations, Blake. Now, let's take a look at the section of the list where he's at:
10. Alan Jackson-26-1991-2010-HOF 11. Blake Shelton-26-2001-2019 12. Dolly Parton-25-1971-2006-HOF 13. Reba McEntire-25-1983-2011-HOF
For the first time since Shelton's debut in 2001, he now has more chart toppers than Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire, the highest ranked women on the list. He is tied with Alan Jackson, but Jackson got to 26 before Shelton. With the next #1 Shelton gets, he will kick Jackson out of the top ten and enter the Holy Grail on this list. Then an artist will need 28 chart toppers to enter the top ten.

Then an artist will need 28 chart toppers to enter the top ten. I have to admit when Blake started out almost 18 years ago I never thought he’d reach the top 10 all time! There are a select few artists I can see reaching the top 10 if not getting close. Jason Aldean, Keith Urban and Luke Bryan. I’d love to say Carrie Underwood but with the way radio has been treating her singles (with the exception of Southbound) I don’t know if I could see her getting there. She could possibly tie with Reba and Dolly maybe though. Another act I could see making it is Luke Combs. The man is on his way to his 6th consecutive #1 already and radio absolutely loves him so I don’t see his #1’s slowing down any time soon.

I have updated Luke Combs' #1s totals to six with Beer Never Broke My Heart. Congratulations, Luke. Now to view his section of the list:
100. Rodney Atkins-6-2006-2011 101. Justin Moore-6-2009-2017 102. Dustin Lynch-6-2014-2019 103. Old Dominion-6-2015-2019 104. Luke Combs-6-2017-2019
If Combs wants to make it to the top 100, he will have to notch a seventh #1 hit. Whether he will do that with his seventh single remains to be seen. Remember, if an artist wants to make it to the top 100, they will have to score seven #1 hits. Justin Moore has the potential with his latest, The Ones That Didn't Make It Back Home. If he scores a chart topper with that song, he will push Rodney Atkins out of the top 100.

I have updated Dan + Shay's #1s totals to six with All To Myself. Congratulations to the law firm of Smyers + Mooney. They need one more chart topper to get into the top 100.

I have updated Jason Aldean's #1s totals to twenty-one with Rearview Town. So far, he's been perfect since being named Artist of the Decade. Girl Like You was a chart topper, too. Congratulations, Jason!

I have updated Justin Moore's #1s totals to seven with The Ones That Didn't Make It Back Home. Congratulations, Justin. In the meantime, he has kicked Rodney Atkins out of the top 100. If Atkins wants back into the top 100, he will have to score another chart topping hit.

As I look at this list I notice only 24 artists in history have had 29 or more #1 hits. 19 of the 24 I’m very familiar with as far as their hit catalogs go. Charley Pride, Tammy Wynette, Eddy Arnold, Sonny James and Buck Owens are the ones I need to listen to the hits of. It’s also kind of crazy to think Brad Paisley could’ve been the 25th artist to make it to 20 #1’s. I’m thinking at this moment the next artist that may make it to 20 #1’s may be Dierks Bentley.

I have updated Dierks Bentley's #1s totals to seventeen with Living. Congratulations, Dierks! In good company with Oak Ridge Boys, Don Williams, Eddie Tabbitt and my least favorite of the 4 he’s tied with Mickey Gilley. Speaking of the Oak Ridge Boys I just found 2 studio albums of theirs, Seasons and Where The Fast Lane Ends.

Just for you and CoJoFan, here is the chart where the Oak Ridge Boys landed their fifteenth #1 hit, This Crazy Love, the second and final single off Where The Fast Lane Ends. It was the last chart topper for William Lee Golden. He was replaced that year by Steve Sanders (R.I.P.). For CoJoFan: Why the hate on Mickey Gilley and who is Eddie Tabbitt? BILLBOARD TOP TEN FOR WEEK ENDING SEPTEMBER 19, 1987: 1. THIS CRAZY LOVE-THE OAK RIDGE BOYS-MCA 2. Three Time Loser-Dan Seals-EMI America 3. You Again-Forester Sisters-Warner Bros. 4. The Way We Make A Broken Heart-Rosanne Cash-Columbia 5. Fishin' In The Dark-Nitty Gritty Dirt Band-Warner Bros. 6. I'll Be Your Baby Tonight-Judy Rodman-MTM 7. I Want To Know You Before We Make Love-Conway Twitty-MCA 8. Crazy Over You-Foster & Lloyd-RCA 9. Daddies Need To Grow Up, Too-the O'Kanes-Columbia 10. Love Reunited-Desert Rose Band-MCA

Love Reunited-Desert Rose Band-MCA 1989 was the year I started listening to country at age 16 and this song, “This Crazy Love” is what made me buy my first Oaks album now I own all their albums from 1977-2014. And “Where The Fast Lane Ends” Is still my favorite. A very interesting and surprisingly duet with Patti LaBelle is on this album as well.

onebuffalo Eddie Tabbitt is the alter ego of Eddie Rabbitt. As far as Mickey Gilley goes it’s not that I hate him I just don’t care for his songs as much as the other 3.

Ozzy Osbourne hit # 1 today on the active rock charts at age 71 so it got me thinking who was the oldest country act to hit #1? I’m thinking it’s gotta be either Willie Nelson when he hit #1 with Toby Keith with “Beer For My Horses” or Dolly Parton when she hit #1 with Brad Paisley with “When I Get Where I’m Going”. Them are featured tracks I think actually the better question is who was the oldest to hit #1 with a solo hit? onebuffalo do you have an answer for this?

If you're talking solo #1s, that would belong to Kenny Rogers. He was just a few months shy of 62 when Buy Me A Rose hit the top in 2000. A chart and video: BILLBOARD TOP TEN FOR WEEK ENDING MAY 13, 2000: 1. BUY ME A ROSE-KENNY ROGERS-DREAMCATCHER 2. The Best Day-George Strait-MCA 3. The Way You Love Me-Faith Hill-Warner Bros. 4. She's More-Andy Griggs-RCA 5. Carlene-Phil Vassar-Arista 6. How Do You Like Me Now-Toby Keith-DreamWorks 7. The Chain Of Love-Clay Walker-Giant 8. Been There-Clint Black and Steve Wariner-RCA 9. Couldn't Last A Moment-Collin Raye-Epic 10. Yes!-Chad Brock-Warner Bros.
