I have to say that my key tracks are "Cranes in the Sky" and "Don't Touch My Hair".
In a perfect world, those two songs would be singles especially, huge hits. Several tracks need to be serviced to radio though.
Someone mentions the Maxwell's influence on "...Sky", it definitely have that vibe. I would say it feels like Maxwell meets Erykah Badu. Lyrically, I could see Ms. Badu writing something in that nature, while the styling of her vocals give off more Maxwell, imo.

I'm low key pissed it's not on Spotify, but the instrumental is. . . Yes. The instrumental and the long remixes are available for sale. Sadly not the Freemason's edit, which is awesome. Oh and it seems that ASATT is getting serious buzz that's translating to solid sales. It's probably a long-shot, but I'm assuming it made the Grammy cut-off. Would love to see Solange get some Grammy love. Literally dropped on the last day. It'd be cray to have her and Bey duke it out in the same category (although they could be split between R&B and "Urban Contemporary" Album).

Solange deserves Album of the Year. I'm still tossing up and down for R&B album because I want Maxwell to win something too.

I complain about the state of R&B music, but to have these two albums come out so closely to each other. Proves that we still have real talent around. Yes I was the one who said the song "Cranes" is giving me, Maxwell vibes. Digesting the album more, its more her sublime, cloud like voice that has me thinking of the Maxwell comparisons . However only the vocal style, as her album is not comparable to the type of pure R&B that Maxwell offers me. I always wondered why Mathew Knowles didn't in the end include , Solange in DC. Seeing how talented she is vocally and as a songwriter and having her own artistry, its pretty clear now why not.

^^ I completely agree. The fact that Solange and LeToya have consistently put out better albums than Michelle and Kelly is laughable at this point.

I just watched Family Guy's episode from Sunday and they had Peter 'remember' the time he was in elevator with, yep, Solange Bey & Jay. Talk about perfect timing. And this episode was created months ago so they had no way of knowing ASATT was coming out. It's all breaking perfectly for her.

must...listen...
EDIT: I just finished a listen through and the album is simply amazing. I need at least another listen to digest, but I hope it smashes. It touches so well upon so many relevant social issues as well as personal issues.

A couple of listens in and I am loving this album. It's definitely more of a background album for me, but I see me playing this a lot over autumn.

That and he had her as a backup dancer during some of their smaller tour venues.

This isn't the fall album. This and Lemonade are the albums of 2016. Period.
