WHY OH WHY do R&B acts always delay their albums?
It's gotten worse in the past 5 years.

Lloyd is the one who insisted they release it in February. The label would've had it out today.

Lloyd wanted his album, "King of Hearts" to be released on Valentine's Day because he feels that the theme of his album fits with the holiday. Interscope was going to give the album a special Monday release.
But, now the album will be released in March.
Lloyd said he will continue to release great music to his fans.

"Lay It Down" will have three remixes!
The first is a crossover remix that will have the music sped up and will have a rock sound. This remix will feature B.o.B
The second remix features R. Kelly
The third remix is very secret, hush-hush. Lloyd said that this version will shock the world.

Lloyd also compares himself to Michael Jackson and said he had this huge shocking guest he was working with and it was........ ummmm..... 50 Cent sooooo I will believe he is about to "shock the world" with his remix when he actually does

^Lloyd is a recording artist and Polow Da Don is a music producer.
Lloyd was only making reference to other great music partners in music history such as Michael Jackson & Quincy Jones; Justin Timberlake & Timbaland, and Usher & Jermaine Dupri.
Lloyd feels like those recording artists had their best moments with those producers.
Lloyd was not saying he is MJ or anything like that. Lloyd was talking about the music relationship between a recording artist and the music producer.
Lloyd said he has always wanted to have a music relationship like that where he is working with just one producer instead of a lot of producers as he did on his previous albums.

You know Patti doesn't pay fair so she may destroy him vocally but everything is looking good for Lloyd

NEW MUSIC: LLOYD F/ PATTI LABELLE – ‘LAY IT DOWN (REMIX)’Lloyd pays tribute to the legends on the addendum to his hit “Lay It Down,” honoring Patti LaBelle by sampling her classic “Love, Need and Want You.” Paying respect to the late Teena Marie and Aretha Franklin at the track’s onset, the crooner sings over a reworked version of the song care of Polow Da Don, later trading melody lines with Patti on the mid-tempo tune. Rewind time and listen below. www.rap-up.com/2010/12/29/new-music-lloyd-f-patti-labelle-lay-it-down-remix/

That remix literally made me LOL but I like it. I'm pretty sure he re-sung the hook because of all the criticism he got for it originally.

His album was pushed back again to March 22nd. I seriously hope Polow has another smash waiting for him because Let's Get It In is not it and there's no way LID is gonna hold up for another 3 months.

Lloyd is now referring to "Let's Get It In" as the "street single."
Polow had a group of music fans to help him and Lloyd select the next single.
Also, I think Interscope made the right decision. There were way too many R&B/Hip-Hop albums released in November and December.
Consumers are not going to purchase every R&B/Hip-Hop album that is released in those months. They will pick a few and leave the other albums on the shelves.

NEW MUSIC: LLOYD F/ B.O.B AND ROCK CITY – ‘LAY IT DOWN (REMIX)’After releasing a Tribute to the Legends featuring Patti LaBelle and a G-Mix with R. Kelly and Young Jeezy, Lloyd reaches out to B.o.B and R&B duo Rock City for the third remix of “Lay It Down,” the first single off his fourth album King of Hearts (March 22). The sexy tune, which boasts a revamped beat courtesy of Polow Da Don, features newly-recorded vocals from the falsetto crooner and a feisty verse from Bobby Ray. “Well, it’s B to the o-B/ You may not know my name/ But by the end of the night/ I bet the neighbors know my name,” he boasts. Young Goldie will travel to the U.K. for his “King of Hearts” tour starting January 24 before joining Trey Songz on his four-date “Love Faces” trek during Valentine’s Day weekend. www.rap-up.com/2011/01/21/new-music-lloyd-f-bob-and-rock-city-lay-it-down-remix/

That's a leaked track that was not produced by Polow Da Don. Lloyd has said numerous times in interviews that he wants only one producer to produce the tracks on his "King of Hearts" album.
