She unfortunately will not be #1 on Billboard. Susan Boyle is going to destroy the competition. :( The ironic thing is that GaGa sings circles around her. Also interesting that the older audiences that are coming out in droves to buy this CD probably don't know this, nor would acknowledge it as a possibility.

Very fun interview, I don't think I've heard a long interview with her. The performance, though, was pretty underwhelming for me--I think the first one of those I've seen from her. Vocally, at least, she just wasn't as on tonight as she usually is. Part of it is singing with such a strong backtrack I think--I think the artists then try and sing louder than the track to prove they're singing live, and it just sounds like competing and doesn't work well (there's a SUBG performance somewhere where the backtrack is heavy and Kelly tries to sing over it and the results are no good haha).
Keep chugging along though, Gaga. You're owning this year, and you deserve to.

Very good interview. Funny too! I liked how she had a QUICK answer to "what rumor about yourself do you hate the most". She immediately had an answer. lol

That's the best interview I've ever seen her give. I remember when she first started getting big a year ago she tried WAY too hard in her interviews and only talked cryptically about her artistic vision and it was kind of a turn off.
This was the perfect balance between being likeable and funny while not dumbing herself down the way most blondes do when they hit the talk show couch. The answer to the least favorite rumour question was brilliant -- of course everyone was expecting "that I'm a hermaphrodite"... "that I'm from Yonkers" was perfect comedic timing. You can tell how smart she is, she never had to pause once after a question or ramble. Get those likeability points Gaga!

Great performance and interview. I like this GaGa much more than the 'I'm a serious bitch' GaGa.

Liked the performance, loved the interview. I wish she had been on for a longer interview. Loved the outfit tonight. It was nice to actually see her face and hair looking as close to normal as possible. :)

LOL it's probably just me but the Yonkers thing makes me think she's talking about what people say about her having a big nose. Haha the logic is a bit roundabout: - She says she doesn't like people saying she's from Yonkers - Yonkers was the setting for the musical 'Hello Dolly!' - A movie version of 'Hello Dolly!' featured Barbra Streisand in the title role - Barbra Streisand has a huge nose - People say GaGa also has a huge nose

I do not understand this Susan Boyle hype. Her voice is average at best... I get that she stands for more of a symbol of "hope" than she does anything else -- but I never, ever, thought it would translate to nearly over one million records purchased around the world in just a week. It's quite mind boggling to me.

That is a really good idea, Young Money. REALLY good. I don't even use my CDs other than to upload the songs onto ITUNES anyway so it will be in perfect condition. You can't return CDs though lol if that was what you were getting at. If you open a CD, the only thing Best Buy (or any store) will allow is an exchange for the identical CD. No no no...I understand. I shop at Best Buy 2x a week, LOL. I just wanna return my censored CD for an uncensored one and it's good to know I can. The performance on Leno was hot and her interview was funny. Yonkers! LOL.

The Fame Monster is #6 in UK midweeks.
Bad Romance is #5 in the singles chart.

I'm SO happy that I went out and purchased this CD. Now, I can rock out to The Fame in full CDQ and Fame Monster! Tho, Fame Monster is much better than The Fame (barring The Fame's epic singles).

Ugh. GaGa is probably the first (and only) artist I have stanned for hardcore where I didn't like every song they have released. The singles on The Fame are strong enough to carry the whole album though, so it's all good and then, of course, comes Fame Monster, which pretty much hits harder than all else. Her personality is so intriguing,

Question for you Gaga fans. I saw her interview last night on Leno and they said something about 4 number ones and that it hasn't happened off a debut album (or something) since the Jackson 5? What exactly are they referring to. Gaga said it hadn't happened in 39 years. Just curious as to what record she set as off hand I know Paula Abdul had 4 number one singles on her debut album and as far as I know Gaga doesn't have 4 yet on the Hot 100.

Loving her right now. I picked up The Fame Monster yesterday and it was interesting just flipping through the booklet from The Fame and The Fame Monster just to see the quick evolution of her look. But you can also hear it in her sounds as well. She's clearly ambitious and smart. That alone makes me appreciate her work.

Or is Gaga's record that the first four singles went to #1 (as Paula had two singles released before Straight Up)?

Ah, ok. Thanks sense now. :) Good for her! I thought she was pretty funny on Leno last night. I'd never really seen her in an interview situation before.

I got the Fame Monster CD yesterday. It was only available as a double-CD though but since The Fame CD had 3 non-released-in-Canada tracks, it wasn't a total loss. Although they took out 'Again And Again', which I did like.
One thing I didn't like was that the Fame Monster CD was Clean... the Fame disc wasn't. Weird. I'm a free bit baby. ...

Just another example of a fallacy permeating the media and becoming widely excepted "fact." She had her first 4 singles hit #1 on Pop radio, and that hasn't happened since Mariah. It's being spun and taken out of context in a way that's leading everyone to think she actually had 4 #1 singles (i.e. Hot 100.)

That especific chart was created in 1992, so it has nothing to do with either Jackson 5 or Mariah previous records. It happened the first time with GaGa.
