It is SO much better live than on the album. IMO it goes from weakest Monster track to HIGHLIGHT!

I REALLY love "Monster". The production is hot! "Alejandro" is also a really well produced, fun song.
This album is absolutely amazingly perfect. I even like my least favorite song, "Teeth".

Alejandro is so silly but it's catchy so I am warming up to it. Dance In The Dark gets the least plays from me as well as Speechless. I REALLY like Speechless because it reminds me of the Beatles' best work but it's so heavy and I really like GaGa's dance stuff so I rarely play it. I am playing all of her stuff to get in the mood for the show tomorrow.

I sure am!! One of my coworkers was supposed to go with his gf but he got sent on a business trip for a week in effing Keene, NH and had to sell his ticket. AW HELL NAH! I would be PISST if that were me. I had to forfeit an All-American Rejects concert when I had to go to Charlotte last month but there is no way in hell I would miss the Gagaz.

I can't get over Speechless--it's just so fantastic. It has this great, classic Elton John feel to it. Each of the 8 tracks is really strong, though. Even Teeth, my least favorite, is at least interesting and kinda fun.
So, what are the rules for this in terms of Grammy's next year. I'm not sure if re-releases are ever nominated for anything, but isn't this supposed to be her second album? Will it be counted as a separate album?

Traveling for business is part of my job so they can send us anywhere we want and don't have to exactly ask us for our opinion on the matter. That's why a lot of people who are married, especially in the first few years of marriage, can't handle this line of work. For a situation like a concert or big event, as soon as you know, you need to tell them you need that day off or something. My mistake was forgetting I had bought tix to the AAR concert and then being sent away to NC. If I told my boss ahead of time, they wouldn't have sent me down there. My friend should have told his boss he had somewhere to be Dec 1 and couldn't leave town. After I learned my lesson with the AAR show, as soon as I bought my GaGa ticket, I was like, "Bitches, I need this day off or I will hafta cut you!" |

ugh i wish the uncensored version would hit stores, it's stressing me out! i haven't opened mine so there won't be any problem exchanging it. I asked at a Target store last week when it came out and they told me they don't take CDs back, opened or unopened during instances where the label messed up the pressings in circumstances like if they released only edited versions or there are mastering problems (the latter situation has happened with both of the new Madonna and Janet Jackson greatest hits collections). I was like WTF? They basically said that I should just wait until the new one comes in then go ahead and buy it then and save myself the trouble. I pointed out the whole 'fitness for sale' aspect of it and they had no idea what I was talking about. I hope the new one will come out soon. I didn't buy The Fame last year when it was released since I knew a re-release was supposed to happen eventually. At that time it had been reported a second 'volume' with the songs released on international editions of the album would be included plus some special new songs. But that didn't happen until now and it's just 8 new songs. Still good. |
