He has a flawless voice, his voice is up there with Usher IMO. Maybe better than Usher, but that boy can sure hit those notes.

When I get a link, I'll post it Several of his songs have been played only by a select few stations (all out of Texas, I believe) here, so unless this charts (and better than 30s-peaking We Still, mind you), it doesn't mean much. For that matter, what's the adds date? I noticed that, too - I have the What's a Man to Do album.

R&B is not the counterpart for Rhythmic. And it didn't stop at #76.

I don't hear a Maxwell resemblance at all. I thought Remy Shand was comparable but this guy sounds like a male J.Lo.

He reminds me of Maxwell in "dont wanna try" because of Maxwells song "this womans work." They 2 songs sound similar to me.

JLo cant sing, this boy can, IMO, his voice should be compared to Mariah's. Listen to his album and be prepared to change your mind completely.

I know that's y I think he's gay. But I meant he sounds like a male version of Mariah, vocally.

R&B is not the counterpart for Rhythmic. And it didn't stop at #76. Who said it was the counterpart? As Kiki said, it peaked at #16 for Billboard's Rhythmic chart. But on the charts that do count, YES it stalled at #76 on the Hot 100 and #80 R&B, hate to burst your bubble. the R&B chart only counts some of the Rhythmic stations, and as for Hot 100 you have to make top 10 on at least one format to even think about going top 50.

Negatory - it peaked at #19 on the Hot 100. Maybe it stalled at 76 before peaking, but 76 was NOT its stopping point. Go here if you don't believe me: www.billboard.com/bb/charts/ago/rewind.jsp?REWIND_YEAR=1&which=hot100It was rising on Pop just before peaking on Rhythmic AND it peaked at 22 on AC.

Don't Wanna Try went way higher than #76.... and Suga Suga went all the way to the Top 20.

I knew it went waaay higher than #76. I'm glad you were able to prove the know-it-all's claim to be false.

It probably has something to do with it also being credited as "Kumbia Kings - 'Don't Wanna Try'". Its AC and Top 40 peaks are listed under Kumbia Kings. Even Frankie J's English album is listed under Kumbia Kings. Maybe the final peak just got lost in the shuffle.

It's an instant impact on CHR/Rhythmic with 87 spins at Number 119 with 30 and 28 spins on the two Fresno CHR/Rhythmic stations (KBOS and KSEQ); 25 spins on KPRR, one of the two El Paso CHR/Rhythmic stations; and 2 spins on WKTU.

Rhythmic #110 - 103 Spins - +103 Plus adds at stations in Houston, San Diego, Corpus Christi, and Oklahoma City. EvanJ, are you certain there's no adds date to speak of?
