Oh, and I was talking about lead categories in the Oscars-not supporting ones. 4 Blacks have won 5 Oscars in a leading acting category. I guess the Oprah effect is being blunted by new music Tuesday for a bit (plus it hasn't aired in all time zones/markets). Getting exposure is the important thing anyway. They might not buy today, but they may buy the next time they hear it. I don't think Oprah has aired anywhere yet. Also, the iTunes chart seems to be frozen again. |

It would need to randomly start gaining 100+ spins a day for no apparent reason and continue to gain that many spins every day for that to happen. If it is going #1 (which I highly doubt) it won't be for another several months at this pace.
Just curious, what makes you think this is such a surefire #1 hit?

Adam absolutely killed it on Oprah.
WWFM is now up to #26 on iTunes and against all odds, he had an 18% increase in album sales for the latest chart. He's hanging in there for sure.
I will say-single sales are nice, but I'd rather he sell albums. He seems to be doing a good job of that so far-he's very consistent.

I just watched Oprah on tv, he was fantastic! He gives such great interviews, and this one may have topped them all. Adam is just so damn likable.
Also, I thought that was his best performance of WWFM yet.
And yay for the album sales increase! Can't wait for next week's numbers.

I'm loving the increase in the album sales Maybe next week it'll increase a little bit more. The album jumped like 60 places on iTunes :o, and the song also climbed 9 spots to #25 YAY So many good news today |

I'm loving these itunes sales because historically, Adam is NOT a very good digital seller. If the digital sales are this good, I am anxious to see how the physical CD sales come out.
