Are multiple versions of the same song still allowed to chart on iTunes at the same time? I remember after Gwen Stefani peformed on American Idol back in 2007 she had two versions of "The Sweet Escape" charting in the top 10 of iTunes at the same time.
If so, I find it weird "WWFM" has only one version charting in the top 200 meanwhile the deluxe and standard album versions are both in the top 50.

WWFM only has one version charting because you can only buy it one way-by buying it from the full album. It's not its own single with its own cover art and stuff, which would cause 2 versions to chart. When FYE was charting, there was 2 versions-the single version and the album version.
ETA-Adam said on Twitter that he's releasing an FYE/WWFM remix EP in a couple of months on iTunes and it will include "Voodoo" which was left off the US version of the album, but is on the UK and Japanese versions

Awesome news about the Remix EP...hopefully a couple of months means next month ha ha.

Whoa, that Oprah effect. Just wondering what you guys think about the adds/spins, and how long the Oprah bump will last. Does the Oprah bump extend to radio adds? Also, is it unusual for a single not to be released independently?

Thanks maria!
I'm pretty sure sales of WWFM from either the Deluxe or Standard edition count as a sale together-like they don't chart separately.
I'm excited for the remix EP because I THINK it helps boost the official sales totals of WWFM (I think) and "Voodoo" is the song that Sam Sparro wrote for Adam. It's supposed to be very "dark." Can't wait to hear it.

Also, is it unusual for a single not to be released independently? Usually such an appearance boost means upward movement for about 24 hours, then steady for another 24 hours, and then down again. It won't do anything for adds, but if he gets more great spin gains like today's then the adds will surely come. Almost all singles that are released after the album comes out do not get a separate single version on iTunes, so it's normal.

f**k yeah @ #18! Keep moving up, baby! And patience with radio. If all stations had it on their playlist it would be top 10 nowlol I'm gonna say it one more time. Updates are gonna get bigger everyday now. Tha is a future #1 smash!

I've been behind Theo's prediction since day 1, and I'm not going to change now.
Anyone who's been on this board as long as I/he has know that he doesn't make lofty claims very often and knows the mediabase charts more than 99% of the members of pulse.

I'm still gobsmacked that this thing has gotten so high on iTunes. It was #80 not even 2 weeks ago.

DiscoSchtick, :) i appreciate the kind words. it kinda feels we are on this board forever! itunes update: up to numero 17! i think that 'Ke$ha artist playlist' ad on the front page is helping the song a lot too!

I think Oprah has taken it far but I also think it is the Kesha promo like you said and that now the song is on the top 10 pop itunes page...that's great exposure....just like when songs first enter the main top ten chart and are featured on the main page.

Nice! I went and compared WWFM with Orianthis track Ackording to you and LLWD when it comes to adds when hitting #30 (both are new artists). WWFM: 75 ATY: 84 LLWD:83 So yeah WWFM is a bit low in adds. Maybe it has climbed the chart from 40 to 30 quicker, I don't know. It did get to the top 30 quicker than LLWD but not because of having more adds at any time (LLWD has 58 adds with chart rank 0, WWFM with 50) but because of getting good reception in the stations that have added WWFM so far. I personally consider this and this I'm still gobsmacked that this thing has gotten so high on iTunes. It was #80 not even 2 weeks ago. To be connected. Two weeks ago the MV wasn't out yet, it wasn't in AT40 yet, and he didn't perform in Oprah yet and once more people become familiar with this song, more and more love it and buy it, and that's why I think WWFM is going to be huge once enough stations add it.

It could be a combination of everything now, including the video. VH1's been playing it a lot. I know, I know...who watches VH1 in the morning? LOL. Well, I've always watched it while I get ready for school or work in the morning, so I'm sure others do it too. :) Anyway, we'll have a better idea if Oprah is the only factor in another 24 hours I guess.
