About the pictures, I must say I really prefer Carrie's more natural "day makeup" look in Soul Surfer. She has the occasional tendency to overdo bronzer/foundation/spray tan that I don't think is as flattering. The '07 Fashion Rocks pix are probably the worst offenders in that category. I am a little worried about Temporary Home...I know it's the beginning of the week and the country charts aren't based on this, but the bullet for this has really shrunk. Some mentioned in either this or in another thread (maybe Miranda's new single thread) about having too many ballets might affect some's chart runs. I hope this is just a fluke but idk.

Their has been a lot of weird stuff happening on the country charts lately, it seems like the label is really pushing Brad's latest single. That's probably affecting Carrie the most, sort of like what happened when they pushed White Liar to the top.

Has Carrie stated why she changed her mind about acting? i specifcally cannot remember anything where carrie said she doesnt want to act. what carrie has always said, that i remember, is that she wants to choose carefully the project she will go into if she tries to pursue acting. she has said she has been recieving scripts all the time but is just waiting on the right project, and of course, if it all ties to her previous schedules made already. |

Carrie's concert in Albany NY sold out per my radio station! :)
^Yeah Carrie always said that if something fun came along, she would try it if she could fit it into her schedule. She said she didn't want to take a leading role right away because she didn't want the success of the entire movie to rest on her, until she knew if she could act or not. So I think she wanted a supporting role at first, which is what she got in Soul Surfer.

That was so cool! I am glad Carrie didn't take the "struggling singer trying to make it". Most first roles by singers have been something to that effect and glad she went in a different direction.

(us too) I love those types of movies! lol Crazy heart being one of my favorite movies of the year. Now, I'm not comparing Carrie to Jeff Bridges at all but that type of movie is something I would like to see her in someday. That is, if she wants to pursue acting further. I could also see her playing Tammy Wynette . :)

I can just see a project like that coming across so predictable and cliched, and that's not what I want for Carrie. |
