Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass" this week becomes the first song by a female hip hop artist to top the 3 million mark in digital sales. Minaj's "Moment 4 Life" (featuring Drake) is next in line, with sales of 1,442,000 copies. Missy Elliott's 2005 hit "Lose Control" (featuring Ciara and Fat Man Scoop) is in third place, with sales of 1,336,000. Note: Elliott's 2002 smash "Work It" was released before the advent of digital sales. Otherwise, it would probably lead in this category. .

Also she has a Mariah Carey Collab For (MiMis album) coming up too.. Ya kno its looks as if. 2012 will be the year of the Divas. Besides Madonna, Mariah, Nicki, who else can expect to hear from in 2012. maybe Missy?? that would be nice!

I've hated most of Nicki's singles to be honest, aside from "Moment 4 Life" and "Fly". But I checked out this album out of curiosity and it's not bad! My favorite tracks are Moment 4 Life, Roman's Revenge, I'm The Best, and Save Me.

But yeah,she wanted to release her first album on Valentine's day so I guess it looks like she got her wish this time. I hope they can release the new single mid-December if not do what Britney did with Hold it against me and release it mid January. Releasing it the first week of January would be bad, though.February is a good time to release because I believe that will be the week of the Grammy's. Sales boost and she will present and possibly win. Crosses fingers. She has been stating in interviews that it will be released at the top of the new year so my guess is she will: Her team is smart so hopefully they do the correct promo thoughout the era- Award shows: Grammy's, Billboard awards, VMAs, AMAs TV Shows: Ellen, GMA, Letterman, Seacrest, Wendy, RollingStone, Vibe, American or Xfactor etc. Replays of E true hollywood story Radio: KISS FM, Hot 97, the top radio stations Magazine: Entertainment Weekly, Billboard, RollingStone, Vibe, Blender, Cosmo, Elle, Glamour, Vogue, etc. Tour from March to November: I hope she can recruit a couple of female rappers to open for her (i.e. Eve, trina, missy, etc.) Hopefully her sales will rise much like Drakes did. 500k+ would be amazing. I'M JUST GONNA SAY AND PUT IT OUT THERE: -I'm expecting another #1 album. The only female rapper to have more than 1 #1 album. -I'm expecting at least ONE #1 hot 100 hit -A slew of top 10/20 hot 100 hits (pop, rhythmic, urban radio support) -A slew of multiplatinum singles -Surpassing Pink Friday's record for most consecutive weeks in the Billboard 200 albums for a female rapper (14+ weeks) -The beginnings of her fragrance line, advertisements, possible wig/clothing/jewelry line 2x platinum album...Pink Friday will be certified 2x platinum in 2012. MARK MY WORDS. It's already at 1.6M will probably hit 1.7-8M after christmas and YMCM will make sure it ships 2M. The fans will love it and the h.ater.s WILL DEAL. Muah.  |
