The first time I heard 'It's Britney, Bitch', I knew it was going to be epic. Definitely the best Britney Spears single, maybe along with Toxic.

The first of her 3 great singles. I hated this when it came out, boy did that change. This song is STILL hot!

Her best song ever. Words can't describe how much my jaw dropped when I first heard 'It's Britney bitch!'. Good memories. Oh wait...

Technically the greatest song she has recorded thus far. Is it my all-time favorite? Not sure, but it's technically her best.

Her best produced single by far, I would say it is pretty much unmatched in terms of production. The dark sinister basline combined with the techno blips and beats paced through out the track is inescapable and unmistakable. I remember the first time I listened to this and I was just overwhelmed by the sound of it. It's literally like three songs rolled into one in a similar way to My Love in that it has so many different things going on in it's short four minute time span. There are the dark synthizers that play heavily in the chorus, there's that naughty kick-back snare that lazily slinks on threw and then there is the sharp beats that are pushed in their underneath the backtrack. It really is an experience trying to find and listen to all of these things at once. I would say from a production stand point it doesn't get much better then this.
I even think the irony in the lyrics is masterful art in that it explains the crux of Britney during the time period this was released. Britney's love-hate affair with the media and how they just wanted more of her. "You want more, we'll I'll give you more- OW!" It's that kind of reckless rebellion that is captured perfectly in this song and it plays especially well considering the social context this was recorded and releases in.
The best cut of Blackout for me, quite easily. Loved this then and loved it now. It never gets old. The opening line alone "It's Britney b*tch" is iconic enough, even without it's killer hook and Britney's sexy vocal delivery.

This was my jam, even after she went fucking nuts briefly.
I think of Britney chasing paparazzo with umbrellas when I hear this, almost always <3

And Gimme More was hot. I still like it now (I kind of prefer the T.I. fanmade remix, because this song was beggin' for a rapper singing a hook). It's not one of her best in my opinion, and I prefer Piece of Me over this one.

How can I listen to this song without recalling that VMA calamity or the internet frenzy only Britney could inspire once "It's Britney bitch" leaked? Fantastic, yet still not among my preferred ones from its parent disc.

I liked this immediately after hearing it for the first time. In comparison to her other material, this isn't as strong, but it's a lot of fun. It still kills on the dancefloor in the clubs. There were hundreds of bootleg remixes of this after the acapella came out. Of the official mixes, I loved the Junior Vasquez & Johnny Vicious Remix and Dub.
The video was really disappointing. While I was not expecting something spectacular, I wasn't expecting it to be so lukewarm.
The VMA performance was absolutely horrible. One of the biggest trainwreck performances in modern history.
