At least on the KISS FM Seattle stream, the version of "Ride With Me" (at #31) is not the version I know...the chorus sounds an awful lot like the chorus of John Mayer's "No Such Thing". Does anyone know about this remix?

So, just like Rick Dees' decade end chart, there is inconsistency here, too. "Poker Face" was the #1 song of 2009 on the year end chart but it ended up being the second biggest 2009 song on the decade end chart (behind "Gives You Hell"). How does that happen?
I'm also rather surprised that "Apologize" missed the top 40 since it was the #1 song of the decade on Billboard's list.

The remix of 'Ride Wit Me' was probably from Nelly's remix album that came out in 2003ish. I think it sampled 'No Such Thing'.
A lot of the song placings on this surprised me. Was 'Gives You Hell' really THAT big a hit? And 'Low' #3?

I can't believe Lady Marmalade didn't make the actual chart. Wasn't that song huge? Surprised U + Ur Hand charted so high here too, but not complaining.

Is there an actual chart from Mediabase we can compare these to? Because it seems like every radio countdown with a decade chart is getting pissed on by everyone here.

I guess I am in the minority. I thought the chart was ok, and enjoyed the show. Seacrest essentially ripping on "I Love You, Always, Forever" I thought was great.

Admittedly, Irreplaceable entered AT40 in Dec. of '06, but AT 40 usually has early cut-offs for the year end countdown. How does Irreplaceable which was #13 on the 2007 year end countdown beat out Big Girls Don't Cry which was #1 for that year?
Does anyone have spin totals to determine how the songs for the decade should actually be ranked?

Personally, I think this is the best of the decade countdowns I've seen. I wish it hadn't come on so early in Seattle, otherwise I would've tried to wake up early enough to hear as much of it as I could. Instead I only got to hear the top 6.
Very glad to see "Hanging by a Moment" get its due in the top 10 on AT40, and all the way at #2 at that. Especially after it and "Everything You Want" got shafted on Dees' countdown.
Edit: I just noticed the second thread for this, and this one caught my eye.
Huh. I wouldn't have seen that one coming. I'd love to have seen the rest of that decade chart.

I know that Tim McGraw was the most played artist of the decade across all genres with 7,800,000 spins, according to Nielsen/BDS.
Nickelback & Green Day, the only two non-country artists to make the top ten, finished fifth & tenth respectively, in total spins for the decade.
'Yeah!' was the most played song of the decade at top 40 radio.

This chart is much more balanced than Rick Dees chart (which completely ignored the first two years of the decade). Here's a year by year breakdown (counting songs towards the year they reached their peak positions):
2000 (2 songs, 4 with extras*) Bye Bye Bye Everything You Want Independendent Women Part I* Oops!...I Did It Again*
2001 (3 songs, 4 with extras*) Angel Ride Wit Me Hanging By A Moment Lady Marmalade*
2002 (4 songs) A Thousand Miles How You Remind Me Complicated In The End
2003 (5 songs, 6 with extras*) Rock Your Body Bring Me To Life When I'm Gone Where Is The Love? In Da Club Hey Ya!*
2004 (3 songs, 4 with extras*) This Love The Reason Yeah! Over And Over*
2005 (5 songs) 1, 2 Step Boulevard Of Broken Dreams We Belong Together Behind These Hazel Eyes Since U Been Gone
2006 (5 songs) Temperature S.O.S. (Rescue Me) Unwritten Promiscuous Hips Don't Lie
2007 (6 songs, 7 with extras*) What Goes Around...Comes Around The Way I Are U And Ur Hand Say It Right Big Girls Don't Cry (Personal) Irreplaceable Apologize*
2008 (3 songs) Leavin' Bleeding Love Low
2009 (4 songs) Boom Boom Pow Just Dance Poker Face Gives You Hell
Also, I'm listening to a part of the show I missed yesterday, and Ryan listed the top 5 albums of the decade. Not sure what the source for this list was, but here they are with the Billboard decade end position noted in parenthesis for comparison.
5 OutKast - Speakerboxxx/The Love Below (33) 4 Creed - Human Clay (5) 3 'N Sync - No Strings Attached (1) 2 Shania Twain - Up! (35) 1 Santana - Supernatural (9)

This show had a lot of fun stuff, like tops of other decade charts, tops of past decade charts, top movies, and 20 years of "The Simpsons."
And we did get to hear songs from 2000 and 2001, unlike somebody else's decade chart.

The first segment was a bit bizarre. First, RS said that Temperature was from 2005 which is incorrect. (I listened to the tape twice to check that's what he said.) Then he said he hasn't seen a store with CD's in it for a long time. How about Best Buy, Wal Mart, etc., Ryan? Later on around #34 he said it was 34 for the millennium, and around #27, they were looking back on the 2000's, 2001-2009. That's what he said.

Ok I just gotta say it What the heck Ryan???????? Where the hell is "Leave (Get Out" and "Too Little To Late" by JoJo? Those were two of the biggest #1 songs of the decade and she isnt in the top 40? All I can say is this wouldnt have happened if this was still Casey Kasem's show lol. Happy New Year everyone!

When Ryan was teasing Vertical Horizon's "Everything You Want" coming up after the break, he implied that Tiffani Thiessen was in the video. No, Ryan, that would be the "You're a God" video.

How did "Unwell" by Matchbox Twenty not make this? I'm pretty sure it was the most played song of 2003.
