I like the new incarnation with McCombs more than any other incarnation.

I really like this one and I've never been a big fan. I've sporadically been interested in a few songs but this one definitely has big hit written all over it

Wow, the recording quality on this track is way better than anything on Full Circle. The production on that album felt like demo quality. This sounds much more pro. That said, I think I'll get sick of this song much faster than any of the singles off Full Circle. I feel like it's a fairly obnoxious song with some good riffs.

Sweet. I'm digging this more than either "Soldiers" or "Enemy".

King Zero Some of those song titles sound terrifyingly in danger of being really cheesy. I feel like half these songs could have been titles of tracks on the last two Saliva albums. But hey, wrestler rock has come to be what these guys do best. I gotta say, I liked the Dave Williams era of Drowning Pool WAY better than the other two. "Tear Away" is so much more intense and interesting than anything they've attempted since.

Well they certainly promote their records that way:
Saliva: "Ladies And Gentlemen", "King Of The Stereo", "Family Reunion" Drowning Pool: "Step Up", "Soldiers", "Enemy", "Feel Like I Do"

Knowledge of what exactly? "Wrestler Rock" is a bit of a paltry term really. Hard rock bands past and present have had lyrical content revloving around 'fighting'. To now describe it as Wrestler Rock is misleading.

when jv mentioned songs under a Wrestler Rock category, I figured that there are songs that are used in pro wrestling.

I meant it as a casual, ill-defined term. Basically just the type of music a bunch of wrestler fans would wanna listen to to get pumped up. It's like cock rock without the misogynist part. Sick Puppies - "You're Going Down" and Godsmack - "Cryin' Like A Bitch" or the best examples out currently, but "Feel Like I Do" has a similar tough guy rock anthem feel that I'm trying to capture with this term.

Precisely. Though I'm just barely tough enough that I don't need Drowning Pool, Godsmack, Saliva, or Sick Puppies to write me an anthem to help me feel tougher either.
