That's cause Gaga didn't go to the Grammy pre-telecast like the other first time nominees like Taylor Swift and Maxell to get their first Grammy awards.

The Grammy's just destroyed what little respect they had left.

All right... my reactions to this year's show, condensed into one post:
Performances: Gaga/Elton - missed it. Cast of American Idiot with Green Day - pretty cool. My friend saw American Idiot and said it was awesome. I'd love to see it too. Cast definitely can perform. BeyoncΓ© - "If I Were a Boy" is a terrible song ... "You Oughta Know" was not horrible, though it would've been nice if she learned the words... best part of the performance: hairography P!nk - I have no idea what she's wearing, but this song is pretty (first time hearing it) and she sounded quite nice. Theatrics were unnecessary. Black Eyed Peas - Meh. Boring from start to finish. Their outfits are better than most of the previous performers' though... Lady Antebellum - They sound good, but what's up with this ultra-dim lighting? This does not translate well for a televised performance. And did they really drop a curtain on her head? Still, they sound awesome and I'm a sucker for good harmony. Jamie Foxx - this is boring. probably more fun live because it does look high energy. and now it's just insane - Slash doing a GnR solo? Interpolating David Bowie? Zac Brown Band - well, their "America the Beautiful" sounds good... and Leon Russell? Awesome. I'm not a huge ZBB fan, and I don't even think "Chicken Fried" is that good, but this was actually pretty cool. Taylor Swift - Looks pretty. Hadn't heard this song before, but it seems nice enough. ... ooh, now "Rhiannon" with Stevie Nicks? Interesting song choice. Not bad, but Swift seemed a little off on her timing on "Rhiannon." I'm quite liking this arrangement of "You Belong With Me." And Nicks's harmony vocals fit in well, perhaps surprisingly so. MJ tribute - probably would've been cooler if I had 3D glasses, but this odd mix of artists does sound decent together. And it's nice to hear that Smokey can still saaaang. Overall, I'm content. Bon Jovi - I'm hoping for "Livin' on a Prayer." Obvious choice, but it's such a good live song. Hmmm... "We Weren't Born to Follow" isn't a favourite of mine, but they're doing a decent job with it. Yay for the country version of "Who Says You Can't Go Home" - this is quite good. Nettles usually impresses me live, and this is not an exception. Whee! I get my choice. Ooh, and Nettles is doing harmony vocals! Awesome! Overall, I liked that. MJB and Bocelli - Bocelli's voice is always amazing. MJB is on point tonight too. They both look great and sound great, and this isn't even a song I necessarily love. Dave Matthews Band - Kind of nice. I like the big orchestral thing going on. Maxwell - This man has such a voice. Dayum! ... ooh, and "Where Is the Love" with Roberta Flack. What a great pairing. Jeff Beck with Imelda May - Oh hell yes! THIS is what I'm talking about. A tribute to a legend, but totally owning it so that it's not just imitative. You both sound awesome, and you both look the part too. Backing vocals and instrumentation are totally shining through too. That was completely awesome. Makes it worth having sat through these other hours that made me feel masochistic. "Forever" - lots of silence. Killed any chance of me evaluating this performance fairly.
Awards etc.: "Single Ladies" for Song of the Year? Good Lord... Glad they inducted Leonard Cohen live, but it would've been nice to have some kind of tribute or performance or something. Oh well. Congrats to Colbert and praise the Lord that "Use Somebody" gets Record of the Year. That speech by the young Jacksons was great. I'm impressed they were able to deliver it as well as they were. "Halo" for Pop Female is one of the only awards (possibly the only) I believe Ms. Knowles deserved tonight. The tribute to those who passed away always gets to me. R.I.P., many talented people. Without you, music junkies like me would have a much less rewarding world. Quentin Tarantino, I love you. Yay for John Legend being able to pronounce DMB's album title!
Overall, I hope this year's ceremony isn't a sign of things to come. Although there's always been a spot or two reserved for commercial acts, this year, talent was almost entirely passed over for the sake of ratings. Not cool.
Not my favourite year, but there were a few awards and performances that were worthwhile.

Ew. I don't think I'll ever be able to watch the Shammys again. What a terrible ending to a extremely boring night!

I predicted all bif categories, wow! What a joke AOTY is. What worries me is that TS might be no 1 on B200 next week. How is it a joke ? It was the biggest selling album, that's what the public deemed the most popular, no ? ???

Kanye West's speech backfired in so many ways. Taylor Swift may as well be Mother Teresa in America's eyes now.

Kanye should have kept his mouth shut during the VMAs and none of this would have happened. Thank Kanye for your wins Taylor.
