These artists could pool a billion dollars together and turn Haiti into Las Vegas if they wanted to without missing a penny. Instead they're gonna sell some craptastic song and ask us to buy it. f**k them and f**k it all! quote] Right on the F-ing $$$. I hate the telethons, horrid songs (except for Do They Know It's Christmas), blah, blah, blah. Donate some of your own or better yet labor. Invest money in the country and infrastructure -- it's insulting to rely on average person.

The songs may always be crap, but they are for a good cause, and the celebs already have given obscene amounts of money.

^Oh my god, I knew it. Fuck you Quincy for screwing up such a classic. And fuck you Lionel for co-signing.
Michael is rolling in his grave.

wtf at the rapping. seriously, it ruins the song. the rappers need to gtfo the song.
i liked Barbra and Josh Groban the best in this.

NBC didn't show the whole thing (I forget when it said it was showing the whole clip). It indeed is a super hot mess. The original was never a fantastic track, but it worked. This is just... oy.
I thought I could hear Janet's voice along with Michael's?
I haven't heard the remake of "Everybody Hurts"- just as bad as this? (an even tougher task, as "Everybody Hurts" actually was a pretty great track)

SMH! @ Janet lip syncing Michael's part. she didn't actually lip what he sang. she was singing along in her 300x smaller habitual volume LMAO (which i didn't actually aprove of in this case).. but we can hear Janet's voice, altought they almost merge i thought she would do more than that! SMH what was that Wyclef tried to do? ew AND LIL WAYNE & T-PAIN WITH AUTO TUNE I CAN'T BELIEVE AND THAT RAP IN THE END! I HATED THAT! HOT MESS] but Ewclef Jean managed to be the WORST part

WATW is a s**tty song to begin with. They should've at least rewritten the lyrics or something. I just hate that this song is so bad and to top it off.... Janet is lipping on it just so it can get more publicity. She will leak "nothing" tonight and we won't hear shit.

I still say if the rap section was taken off and they gotthe parts that akon and lil wayne were singing(with the autotune) off the track it would be fine. the rap sections made it too choppy.

I knew from day one that it would be a hot mess. Some things should just be left alone.

Thanks, nduplicated- yah, not as bad as WATW. That cover pretty much sticks to the original music and has no totally weird vocals.
And, yes- how horrid is that autotune? Not to mention the rapping/shouting, and starting the track with a boy who sounds like he's still going through puberty.

It was pretty bad. Celine, Jennifer, and a few others sounded good but overall it was bad. too many different things going on, The rapping ruined the song as well as the vocal clashes between people who just aren't meant to sing on the same song.

This is a big mess, but it's for a good cause. It's still better than that Stand Up To Breast Cancer one from a few years ago.
