I'm gonna call bad rumor mill on that one, although I wouldn't blame him if it took the money and ran with it if it was true.
Looking like Jay Z might take #10 on itunes soon.

If someone, anyone offered me up to $10 million to do ANYTHING (legal, anyways), I'd do it.
Hell, at least he wouldn't have to wonder if he'd get a performance slot! He could probably have them at will.

that simon replacement was started by the national enquirer lol definately not true and never will be actually NE has a very strong track record when it comes to stories in recent years. They use to run very farfetched stories, but about 5 years ago they had a whole switchup. They spend lots of money on getting inside tips from sources. They were the first to break the several major stories in recent history including the new OJ Simpson trial and book "I Did It", Monica Lewinski scandal, Rush Limbaughs drug addiction, Jesse Jacksons illegitimate child, and Sarah Palin's pregnant daughter. They have become highly reputable in the last few years.... they also own "The Star" and several other major publications. They also broke the John Edwards affair...I think. Don't know how to feel about this. The money and the exposure are excellent, but does Adam want to be so tied into Idol, especially in its decline? Maybe he does. How much longer does this show have, anyway? With Simon gone, even with Adam as a replacement, and with X factor as competition...just don't know. He'd make lots of money, and be able to buy his relatives all the homes and musical instruments they want, certainly.

I guess the homophobes don't put their $ where their votes are! (we all know the real reason Lambert lost last year).
I'm just glad justice is being served.

They were hammering out the details for months over the Simon leaving and appropriate compensation issues. However, i think its been resolved now and almost officially announced. It will continue on for a while even with X-Factor... because Idol makes so much money. They can do both, during different seasons. One in Fall and one in Spring.

I'm inclined to believe the NE story. I mean, it just says that producers are considering him as a replacement right? Nothing about them asking him officially or him agreeing...
Like some have said, it's too long and long-term a commitment for someone who is working on an international music career. Having said that, wouldn't mind him doing a one-off next season. By that time next year, he should have finished his tour and released Sleepwalker and should be between albums.

For those in the know, will this Top 10 be a big influence on banners and promo for the next single? I was wondering the same. Could it be what RCA was waiting for to publicize the adds date?

Hasn't Adam already said he wouldn't want to do Idol Judge full time though? I think he said he'd love to guest judge though. Which would also be cool.

Yeah it's not updating. Happens once in a while. He would probably still be #10 even if it was moving, but at least this guarantees he stays on the front page.

Are you sure iTunes is having problems?? Because I see some movement, just not in the top 10. For example, Carrie performed Change last night and right now the song is #115 and it wasn't even in the top 200 country songs yesterday.

Lol Adam as guest judge? I seriously, seriously doubt it. I felt the same way about Adam mentoring though and we all know how that turned out.

Yeah it's done for me too except for curiosity about where it peaks on HAC and AC. It had a good run, and the BB Hot 100 #10 is the icing on the cake. I wanted so badly for this to be either an airplay or BB Top 10 and it FINALLY made it.

Yeah, I'm surprised because I thought it'd have to hover around #5 or so on iTunes for a T10 berth. Congrats to him. There were, and still are, 5 versions of WWFM in Itunes, two of the original (deluxe and regular) and 3 remixes, so combined it sold more and would have probably been ranked higher. Also, it was top 5 in both Walmart and Amazon, which don't contribute much I guess, but they helped him get to #8 in Hot Digital Songs despite being #9 last week on Itunes.
