I think you should only count it as another #1 hit if it was a different song... For example... Beyonce had 5 #1s in the US and 5 #1s in the UK... But the only one that was #1 in BOTH was "Crazy in Love" So... as far as I'm concerned she has 9 #1 singles... make sense? This is just my personal opinion.
And another thing, just to clarify... the World Chart is not an official chart...
Oh, and Destiny's Child had 3 Hot 100 #1s since 2000, not just 2. (Say My Name, Independent Women, Bootylicious) And Rihanna has 6 Hot 100 #1s, not just 5. (SOS, Umbrella, Take a Bow, Disturbia, Live Your Life, Rude Boy)

If you look at the lyrics and the song, who sings the most lyrics? Is it Pink? Pink may not sing the most lyrics, however she's not the least billed artist. It's Mya.

^ Again... to add US and WW doesn't make very much sense because the US chart plays such a big part in the WW chart...
Comparing the US with the other top music markets makes far much more sense.

The United World Chart is sort of dubious anyway. It was cleared out of Wikipedia many months ago. Unless that's not the WW chart you're referring to.

Why are you even comparing Beyonce to Rihanna? not even in the the same realm.... i agree. while they both have the same number of top 20's and top 10's in what we're discussing - Rihanna has SIX #1's and did it in almost half the time. :o

Rihanna has also released 4 albums, Beyonce 3.

Rih started from zero, while "Bey" had been around, with her backup singers, since the 90's.

Your math doesn't quite add up. Plus, Rihanna's released four albums to Beyonce's three, so it stands to reason she'd have more hits.

^Rihanna didn't have any number ones until 2006 his post says ALMOST half, 3.5 being half of 7, four years could be considered "almost half" the time.

A chart was "cleared out" of Wikipedia? With the erroneous info that gets posted there, I'd find it hard to believe it would have such strict rulings on any type of chart.
Anyhoo, both Rihanna and solo Beyonce have done very well- why can't people leave it at that?

Anyhoo, both Rihanna and solo Beyonce have done very well- why can't people leave it at that? I'm not sure how consistent the rules are across different artists' pages - Wiki moderation is rather disorganized and decentralized - but generally, Wikipedia discography pages only use Billboard charts for chart histories. That's why you have to go elsewhere for CHR/Pop chart histories, and good luck getting chart histories for airplay on other formats.

Anyhoo, both Rihanna and solo Beyonce have done very well- why can't people leave it at that? I'm an administrator for Wikipedia, so I can chime in. Basically, Wikipedia has inclusion guidelines. Disputed claims of inclusion are thrown up to the Wiki community to vote on. The United World Chart has fairly controversial as the community was pressed to find other sources that verified UWC as a legit source of database. Most of the sources they found were self-referential or boards like this (rather than publications like Billboard) so it was deleted.

I would not count on bks posts.
If he were going to regularly post Soundscan data again he would have done so by now.

It has been since early February that he last posted Soundscan data, at some point we should just let go.

I'm not including those hits, but "Bey" was pretty established when she started her solo career. I just don't understand... haven't people watched DREAMGIRLS??? It's so transparent!

^Rihanna didn't have any number ones until 2006 his post says ALMOST half, 3.5 being half of 7, four years could be considered "almost half" the time. exactly, and go read that post i addressed. You can't say in a HOT 100 thread comparing peak numbers, that they are "not even in the the same realm....", THAT'S a pressed post, cause guess what - Rihanna has more lol RE: "Plus, Rihanna's released four albums to Beyonce's three, so it stands to reason she'd have more hits." That's quite faulty logic & Beyonce's still released far more singles. So i guess it stands to reason she should have more hits, eh?

Who cares if she got in her first #1 in 2006? She debuted in 2005, her career didn't begin when S.O.S. hit the top spot. How exactly is that faulty logic? It doesn't matter how long you've been around, it matters how much you've released. If you aren't dropping albums and releasing singles, you can't score #1's. Bey may have put out more singles on paper but not all of them were serviced at pop radio, while all of Rihanna's were. That said, I'm not putting down Riallah's success at all, she's built up an impressive career and has released some top notch albums. There's no need to distort the facts to praise her & put down Bey, though.

So, how much more does B.o.B have to sell than Rihanna to take the top spot? I'd say about 15-20k.
