How many weeks has Rih spent at #1? like 15? Compare to Beyonces 40ish? So yeah Rihanna can get to #1 based one 1 week strong digi sales and being featuring on TIs songs?
Do you really want to add in DCs singles?

Well, Kesha's had more weeks at #1 on the album and single chart in the US than Gaga; I doubt many people think she's bigger.
I guess flame wars are what happens when we don't get any #'s.

stay pressed, as485y. most #1's for a female artist since 2000. tied for most top 10's and 20's. keep trying to come up with ways to minimize it. (of course that doesnt' take away from beyonce, for those that aren't getting what's actually going on here)

Beyonce is the stronger album seller, that's all that matters.

Oh jeez, the Beyonce vs Rihanna thing again. It's as played out as the Britney vs Christina wars. Let it go people, let it go!

Beyoncé isn't only about chart success, she's above that. Look at the IASF era, she only had 1 #1 hit, but it was arguably bigger than the DIL era. But then again, Beyoncé has been out for longer, and Rihanna has gotten just as much chart success as Beyoncé in less time. I guess time will tell, but I think they're both in the same level right now.

Will yall shut up and discuss this week's charts please Anyways... “Break Your Heart” by Taio Cruz featuring Ludacris tops Hot Digital Songs for the third straight week. The song sold 176,000 downloads this week, bringing its four-week total to 681,000. The gorgeous “Nothin’ On You” by B.O.B. featuring Bruno Mars jumps from #4 to #2, with sales of 166,000 copies this week. The richly melodic song is a “My Cherie Amour” for the hip-hop generation. Rihanna’s “Rude Boy” slips from #2 to #3, with sales of 163,000. Rude boy #1 again

Darn. Would've liked to see BoB get #1 for a week. Maybe he'll get it down the road.

^Rihanna didn't have any number ones until 2006 his post says ALMOST half, 3.5 being half of 7, four years could be considered "almost half" the time. exactly, and go read that post i addressed. You can't say in a HOT 100 thread comparing peak numbers, that they are "not even in the the same realm....", THAT'S a pressed post, cause guess what - Rihanna has more lol RE: "Plus, Rihanna's released four albums to Beyonce's three, so it stands to reason she'd have more hits." That's quite faulty logic & Beyonce's still released far more singles. So i guess it stands to reason she should have more hits, eh? Well, a new album increases the chances of having a #1 vs. trying to release a 7th single and hoping it tops the charts (which is highly unlikely and never happens without a rerelease). And Rihanna's career started in 05, not 06 when SOS hit #1. Disclaimer: Not trying to downplay anyone's success

Yeah it did, and I'm saying her career started in '05, not when she got her first #1 in '06.
