So, will "Physical' crack the Hot 100 or not? It remained in the iTunes top 100 through Sunday night, and got as high as #18.
Air Supply is one of my guilty-pleasure acts- totally light and fluffy and cheesey, but they're great for the kinds of love songs that they do.

It will considering it'll be credited as "Glee Cast featuring Olivia Newton-John".

Daria, yes, it will be cool to see Olivia chart on the Hot 100 again (if the single sold enough to do so). I've been trying to find who the oldest female is to have a Hot 100 hit- Olivia may stand a shot at claiming that, as she's 61. Though I'm not 100% on whether older females have done so in the Hot 100's history. Cher was 56 with her last, and Tina Turner was 58. And Dolly Parton turned 60 as "When I Get to Where I'm Going" was charting.

I've been trying to find who the oldest female is to have a Hot 100 hit My best guess for the record holder would be Moms Mabley. Even if she's not the oldest (I've not done any research in that area), Newton-John has some time yet before she could vie for that record.

In case anyone is interested the overall record for oldest person to chart is George Burns at age 84
I know that is not what is being discussed since we just are focusing on females but someone might find it interesting.

Ha, I remember when I heard an old AT40 Casey Kasem countdown address this question about the oldest female who charted and he played a snipped of that Moms Mabley song... it was an oooooooooold lady croaking out out Abraham Martin and John.

Moms Mabley- yes. Thanks for the tips. :) It was her only Hot 100 appearance, to boot.
In any event, if "Physical" charts, it will be the oldest female in some time to chart on the Hot 100, anyways. :)
George Burns' entry also was his sole Hot 100 entry- and the chart date was one day before his 84th birthday.

Usher was #4 or #3 and then stayed at #2 for the last few days. I wonder if he sold enough to debut at #2 or #1 considering Usher has the benefit of consistent sales and massive airplay which is still increasing.

Only the second song to do so in the digital era after Britney Spears' "3."
