And The Fame is less than 250K away from being 4X Platinum! It will probably reach 4 million near the release date of Born This Way or earliar depending on its Holiday sales :)

I was looking through random GaGa pics and I have to admit that I miss this GaGa. Hopefully we'll see her looking so fresh and natural-looking in upcoming photoshoots.

But I miss that style.

Record can refers to a single No. Record always refers to album. Anyone that uses it to refer to a song are misusing the word. Besides, why would GaGa make such a big deal over a single song title? Record is a reference to a single song although it is not always the case. There is nothing wrong with referring to a single as a record or referring to an entire album as a record. Record of the Year is what...one song! This probably originates from the days when there were record players and they often held only one song per side. Technically though, record = one song and album = collection of songs. It is somewhat of a pointless argument though as it is becoming more and more common to use "record" to refer to an entire album and that is what language does over time, it changes...

I've criticised her a lot during past 6 months (well it began actually when she released Telephone), because at that point she became style over substance to me (crappy singles and nonsense, unreasonably long videos attached to very mediocre songs). I still think last thing she's done right was Bad romance. Having said that, she's very very talented. I just wish her 3rd album will be same quality level as Fame, fame monster was quite a step down for me. But i'm very excited for her new stuff. And as much as i like speechless i don't need 4 ballads on her album. If she goes only uptempo, i'll be happy camper. It's amazing Scissor sisters are gonna support her next year on tour. They are awfully underrated in the US IMO. Their new album is my favourite to date and they're incredible live. Absolutely fantastic. They are hardly just a gay band, as i'm sure most of PD's and MD's consider them to be.

That's like comparing Ray Of Light to Hard Candy. TFM is amazing, The Fame just isn't as good as TFM.

I'm surprised that people think that The Fame is better than The Fame Monster. Not to knock someone's opinion because it's certainly not right or wrong but, for me, The Fame is filled with a lot of filler and, for the most part, is a regular electro-pop record. The Fame Monster has a lot of depth to it. It's much more developed musically and lyrically. And the GaGa behind it has much more personality and as a whole, it stands apart from most others than The Fame did. TFM has a charm that TF lacks.

In my opinion, TFM, from start to finish is a perfect album. I absolutely love it, I was blown away the first time I heard it, it's contatious.

Yeah I am always surprised when people say TFM is a huge step down in quality. The Fame to me was a fairly straight-forward pop cd. Not bad for a debut and had some epic songs, but overall had some weak points and normal debut cd weaknesses. TFM took it to a whole other level for me though and was when I started thinking of her as an actual pop force instead of just a fun pop semi-disposable person. I also never get the she went from substance to style argument. I had so much fun with the Fame, but the first three videos were basically her being blonde and dancing in different locations lol. Like, I never listened to The Fame and thought WOW SO MUCH SUBSTANCE AND DEPTH. Not saying TFM is necessarily deeper/more substance, but I guess I also don't think Gaga is that type of artist. I am happy as long as she continues to make epic pop songs.

"Bad Romance" is the best dance song since "Hung Up" IMO and my favorite pop song since "Beautiful".

The latter half of TF was all filler for me. Aside from Speechless, TFM was exactly on point. I agree that it has more of her "famous" persona in it too, which will make it a good nostalgic document years down the line.

Ya TF, although I like it, is kind of repetitive and is nothing to really write home about in terms of musical impact. TFM however has this epic feel and does feel much deeper, fully developed in terms of quality and style.

TFM >>>> TF
The Fame has more skippable tracks.
