Lady Gaga Dispenses Advice on ‘So You Think You Can Dance’If there is one person we think can dance, it’s Lady Gaga. She is known for her intensely choreographed routines, so we couldn’t think of a better pop diva suited to dole out advice to aspiring dancers on ‘So You Think You Can Dance.’ Gaga sat on the judge’s panel of tonight’s episode, wearing a loud red paisley blazer with square, extreme, statement shoulder pads and sunglasses. She also wore a red leather captain’s cap, with her long, turquoise hair falling in waves on her shoulders. But the Mother Monster wasn’t there to simply look fashionable. She was there to offer her criticisms, both good and bad, about the eight remaining contestants, and that’s just what she did. Since Gaga is so motherly and maternal, she dispelled advice with kindness, celebrating dancers for their statures and or their interpretations of the choreographers’ goals. She certainly took the gig as a guest judge seriously and if these remaining dancers are smart, they will take Gaga’s advice, absorb it, and apply it.Midway through the show, Gaga told a petite contestant that she gave her hope, since “it’s no secret that I’m quite short.” She then lifted up her leg and placed it on the judge’s table, revealing what looked like 12-inch platform heels in red leather, of course. She joked that they were a “fashion catheter” so she doesn’t have to get up and go to the bathroom during the show. Oh Gaga. Our grandmother always said that “beauty must suffer” and no one suffers more for beautiful fashion than you. Gaga was also commenting on styling, on musical choices, on hand movements and the stories behind the dancing. She treated this job like she does her little monsters: With utmost care. One dancer made her cry and it wasn’t crocodile tears. Yep, Gaga pulled a J. Lo, who often turned on the waterworks during ‘American Idol‘ last season. It’s also worth nothing that this show isn’t ‘Dancing With the Stars.’ It’s much more artful, with the choreography being judged, while focusing more on the body and how the movements coordinated with specific elements of sound or imagery. It breaks down the actual moves and techniques that comprise a specific dance. Gaga’s best comment? She says that she takes her platinum plaques off the walls and it reminds her that she needs to work just as hard to stay on top, something she told a dancer who dangled her fingers like she has won lots of trophies and awards. Seriously, Gaga should be a guest judge on ‘SYTYCD’ every week.Link: popcrush.com/lady-gaga-so-you-think-you-can-dance-advice/

WTF@ her crying on SYTYCD??? the lady needs anti-depressants ASAP...all this crying at the drop of a hat hints that she’s depressed. God forbid someone be moved by art . I love SYTYCD and I'm not gonna lie, I've definitely teared up in the middle of a couple of dances.

Some people just cry easily. My bf will cry if he sees other people get choked up all the time. I can almost predict the exact moment he'll start to cry while watching a tv show, movie, ASPCA commercial, etc. He is a contact cryer and tears up almost every week watching SYTYCD.

She cried because the story was touching. She wasn't the only one crying, the other girl judge was crying too. I'm glad she's so passionate about it.

Really liked the performance. I just want "Hair" released before the era ends.

Loved the outfit she had on for this performance. The dancing was very interesting for Y&I. I wonder how the video will be now!

I really didn't like the 'Glory' performance vocally- it was a bit all over the place during the verse, but I have to say (while I know NOTHING about dancing), I really enjoyed the 'You and I' performance- vocally and visually.
I give big props to Gaga for taking risks with her album and singles this era. If anyone has earned it in this business today, it is her and I'm glad she's pushing some musical boundaries for radio today:

There’s no stopping Lady Gaga. The pop powerhouse rolled through L.A. for her latest round of promotional appearances. First she hit up Fox’s dance competition “So You Think You Can Dance,” where she guest judged the day before. Gaga schooled the contestants, whipping her teal ponytail around as she wowed with her Born This Way hits, “The Edge of Glory” and “Yoü and I.”
Later in the evening, she caused chaos on the streets of Hollywood during her visit to “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” She chatted with her fellow Italian about what she likes to cook, getting nominated for five Emmys, bowling in heels, and starting a family, and once again performed “The Edge of Glory” and “Yoü and I” on the outdoor stage.

^^ T4P...I liked her performance on SYTYCD. The choreography was a bit hmm but all in all it was good. Her performance of You & I on J. Kimmel was awesome though. I also really enjoyed her interview.

Apparently she's planning on releasing a coffee table book shot by a photographer known for sexual imagery this year in time for XXX-Mas. The shots take place from last August to this February. Holla!

She nailed all her Kimmel performances last night. Damn!
Her Judas choreography was so sick. She killed it.

Nicole can be kind harsh and recently she went on a huge rant about how Gaga is basically too ugly to be a pop star (including naming off all the ways she is ugly) so she needs more help than other pop stars who are naturally attractive. I guess that is sort of true-other pop stars are more conventionally pretty so just sitting there smiling is probably more attractive to people than Gaga sitting and smiling. Though, I don't really like the idea of Gaga being considered too hideous to be a pop star when she probably has just as much if not more talent than anyone else out there. Anyway, Gaga replied with this- ladygaga Lady Gaga @ @hausofnicole u are a truly sweet + wonderful fan. Just woke up + saw many of your tweets. You're a dolly. Having a whiskey for you.

Gaga looks good when she isn't in her costume attire. She is very talented. She has some chops as well. She deserves all of her success. "You And I", is an amazing song.

I still believe her best performance of Judas was her first which was on Ellen.
