She looks so much better in these recent pics. I hope she keeps the long blonde hair and continues to tone down the over-the-top outfits, but it's GaGa, so I doubt that will happen lol.

Because dressing weird-wrong! Wrong because it isn't mainstream aesthetically pleasing and it is pretentious to dress weird.
That is the argument I get. I never cared about Gaga looking hot all the time though and I LOVE WEARING COSTUMES so it never bothered me. If you are more invested in pop stars needing to look a certain way and aren't a costume lover I guess I can see why it bothers people.

But she's been like that since the beginning. Outrageous costumes and stuff. So it's not like they don't expect it from her. I just don't get why people are investing so much time into wishing she was like every other pop singer*. It will always boggle my mind.
(* clarification: I'm not saying every other pop singer are one in the same, nor am I saying every other pop singers aren't good. I simply mean that in a lot of ways, she's not lumped in with that crowd and hasn't been since the beginning. Why do people insist on forcing her into that box when there are so many other singers to turn to to suit what they value in a pop singer.)

Dressing down would be a nice change for her. It doesn't have to be permanent or anything. It's probably the last thing the public expects her to do too. Maybe it would be a good thing to give her team a break from designing all her costumes.

I think the new pics that were posted above are some of her best I've seen in awhile. She looks pretty hot with those looks, they're a little bit more subtle and they kind of made her look more like the star and less like the outfit was "the thing to look at" in the picture. It was more, "Hey look at me" and less "Hey look at what I'm wearing." ;)
