That's really impressive considering she sold 5.9 million copies in 2009 and was the second biggest seller behind Subo last year .

Yup, and it's even more impressive when you realise that she's sold 10 million albums in just over a year (since TFMs release); 6 million this year, 2 million last december, 1.5 million with the EP and 500k+ with The Remix Here's an airplay update too: LADY GAGA - Just Dance f/Colby O'Donis: 12.043 LADY GAGA - Poker Face: 11.251 LADY GAGA - Lovegame: 3.441 LADY GAGA - Paparazzi: 8.902 LADY GAGA - Bad Romance: 16.887 LADY GAGA - Telephone f/Beyonce: 8.680 LADY GAGA - Alejandro: 8.820 Total - 70.024 :o

A little surprised that Just Dance is still above Poker Face in airplay, considering that PF has been outselling JD digitally for months and months, and will soon be passing it in all-time sales.
It's cool that even Lovegame is getting some level of recurrent love even when her other six singles are doing so phenomenally. This is impressive.

I still here Just Dance all the time. Pokerface not so much. It was the bigger hit but radio seems to have a soft spot for JD or something.

How far off do we think Steph G. is from being the top-selling digital tracks act? I'd imagine that it's between her, Taylor Swift and Rihanna for the digital era (2003-present)?

^Interested to see the answer to that. I would imagine it would be Rihanna over Tswift but who knows. Maybe BEP?

Lady Gaga spent the Christmas weekend with boyfriend Luc in Omaha, NE. Gaga was spotted at the Sydney Bar where she had a few cocktails and posed for pictures with fans on Sunday night. “I was shocked,” said Mikaela, 24. “She was so nice. She started talking to us and was hanging out at my table.” Full Story: www.omaha.com/article/20101228/NEWS01/712289928/1031355

Billboard's Chartbeat usually doesn't care too much about Soundscan numbers. Hopefully Paul will do a feature as soon as one of them passes 30 million.

Billboard's Chartbeat usually doesn't care too much about Soundscan numbers. Hopefully Paul will do a feature as soon as one of them passes 30 million. I'm not sure but I think so, the last one was at the beginning of this month but before that there was one every week. I was hoping for a feature when one of them reached 30 million too but Ask Billboard put Rihanna at 28 million back in May so she's definitely way past the mark by now, I guess everyone just forgot about the race www.billboard.com/column/chartbeat/ask-billboard-beyonce-vs-gaga-vs-rihanna-1004094563.story?tag=hpfeed#/column/chartbeat/ask-billboard-beyonce-vs-gaga-vs-rihanna-1004094563.story?tag=hpfeedOn a related note then it's impressive that Gaga has sold almost 5 million digital songs since then despite not releasing anything new, as the numbers below total at 28,272,846 and with updates and other album tracks then she's probably past 29 Just Dance - 5,844,000 (12/19) Poker Face - 5,722,061 (12/11) LoveGame - 2,257,492 (10/3) Paparazzi - 2,776,000 (11/7) Bad Romance - 4,413,293 (12/11) Telephone - 2,643,000 (11/7) Alejandro - 1,992,000 (12/19) Starstruck - 625,000 (8/22) Speechless - 197,000 (8/22) Beautiful Dirty Rich - 275,000 (9/5) Dance in the Dark - 120,000 (9/12) Monster - 207,000 (10/3) Boys Boys Boys - 233,000 (10/3) So Happy I Could Die - 114,000 (10/24) Chillin - 354,000 (12/5) Videophone - 500k?

Paul Grein has noted that SoundScan doesn't keep a running track of the top-selling digital acts- so, one would have to go through and manually add up all of the totals.

They apparently do keep some list of that sort, as a top 10 is released with the end-of-year data every year. (Hence all the January 2010 reports of Taylor being the Digital Champion.) Maybe what he means is that there isn't a Top 200 list, as there is with similar tallies. BTW, Alejandro became GaGa's seventh single to pass the 2 million mark this week!

^Only artist in digital history to have 7 songs over 2 million paid downloads.
Digital totals and Hot 100 peak - Singles: “Just Dance” feat. Colby O’Donis – 5,844,000 copies (No. 1) “Poker Face” – 5,722,000 copies (No. 1) “LoveGame” – 2,258,000 copies (No. 5) “Paparazzi” – 2,776,000 copies (No. 6) “Bad Romance” – 4,414,000 copies (No. 2) “Telephone” feat. Beyoncé – 2,643,000 copies (No. 3) “Alejandro” – 2,000,000 copies (No. 5)
Non-Singles: “Starstruck” – 625,000 copies “Beautiful, Dirty, Rich” – 275,000 copies “Boys Boys Boys” – 233,000 copies “Monster” – 207,000 copies “Speechless” – 197,000 copies “Dance In The Dark” – 120,000 copies “So Happy I Could Die” – 114,000 copies
I wonder how much "Teeth" has sold. If it is over 100k, that would mean each track off the TFM (EP) has sold over 100k
Legend :'(

'Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say)' has probably sold over 200,000 copies as well.

I'm still bitter over "Monster" not getting the single treatment over "Alejandro." The video would have been EPIC and would definitely have continued her #1 streak. Such a shame. :(
Those sales are astounding. She'll be pushing well over 40 million singles (in just the US) after the next album drops... Can't wait.

I am excited for this era. So we have 2 redone tracks. Any word on the work with Mark Ronson emerging at some point? Maybe some work with Blaqstarr or Bangladesh would be interesting. I hope she reaches for someone different for top 40. I also hope she moves some from the eastern european influences to something else. It was dark and perfect with songs like "Bad Romance", but now it's been done a lot so time for a different sound.

As far as we know GaGa worked alot with Fernando Garibay. So, it's easy to assume he is the main producer outside RedOne, Martin K and maybe Akon.
