So if the album will come out in May, 3 months from the first single drops for sure there's big possibility that we'll have a second single before the album drops.

Yeah I can see the first single peaking more than a month before that May 23 release date... so I think we can expect a second single release coinciding with the album release

Awesome.  It is a good long wait, but it allows for us to have a chance to 'miss her' a little before she begins to dominate all over again. And it would minimize the potential clash and competition between her and other artists who are starting new album eras (like Britney, Beyonce, Avril, etc.) |

One thing to note, the 2011 Grammys happen on February 13. It looks like that's where the new song will be debuted/premiered. I wonder, has any artist ever debuted a new song during the Grammys before? Makes sense, she gets to finish out the tour by then aswell! Should/Could be an intresting Era! I was wondering about how she would handle that if the new single and/or album were to be released before that. PS- DiscoCowboy, i love u avatar! lol Thanks! |

Didn't U2 open the Grammys a few years ago with their debut single for No Line on the Horizon? I remember it because a lot were disappointed with it.
So, is Born This Way the first single then? She just referred to "the song" which I assume is the title track?

Yes. U2 did, as others have said, and I'm pretty sure Lady A premiered Need You Now at the 2010 Grammys. Taylor Swift "premiered" "Today Was A Fairytale" at the Grammys last year, and it was a complete bust.

I am almost sure that Beyonce is going to have something out in the summer June/July so she will be sandwiched in between. I wonder...well never mind. |

She finished the album last year and now we have to wait until may! The album is just one part. I think she needs to relax a bit and also devise a plan for the images she wants to portray. She is a visual artist and you can tell that she puts thought into that aspect of her entertaining. I just don't really know how far she is going to go...but will be interesting to see. |

She finished the album last year and now we have to wait until may! She's a trendsetter so she needs to outdo herself every time. Marketing, Visuals, and timing are key. Even though she will probably outsell, Avril, Britany ect... It's still dangerous to throw things out there. |
