Gaga is too savy to release a sucky first single.... she's calling the shot's, not the record comp. I have faith in her completely. I still haven't grown tired of BR, PF, and telephone

I still haven't grown tired of BR, PF, and telephone ug, those 3 songs have the HIGHEST burn factor for me. I skip them every single time. The ones with replay value, imo, are: Just Dance Alejandro Monster So Happy I Could Die

The new Polaroid line looks fantastic. Guarantee the products will be advertised in GaGa's next music video

I want them all. I will definitely get the GL20 first though. Price will definitely not be a problem.

Lady Gaga won International Artist of the Year at the 25th annual Japan Gold Disc Awards, which were held in Tokyo earlier this week. In 2010, Gaga sold over 650,000 copies of her albums, which made her the best-selling international act of the year. Gaga’s latest releases The Fame Monster and The Remix are currently charting at No. 2 and No. 20 on iTunes Japan, respectively. Source: GagaDaily

The Polaroid/GaGa teamup is funny to me. It makes sense to some extent, but we won't see if it is a failure or hit until a year or two from now, when everything is in stores.
I just thought for sure we'd get a clothing line and perfume BEFORE something else. But it's okay. :)
Does anyone know which GaGa song is receiving most airplay still?

From what I heard, all of the products will be released between the spring and winter time.

Does anyone know which GaGa song is receiving most airplay still? At CHR/Top 40, Lady Gaga was last week's 12th most played artist (up from #14 the week before). Freaking amazing considering it's been 6 months since she's had a current single. 1 Bad Romance 1501 2 Alejandro 1182 3 Telephone 1137 4 Poker Face 916 5 Just Dance 801 6 Paparazzi 735 7 Lovegame 409 Alejandro has held up better than I would've expected. BR is a beast - Tik Tok, presumably the bigger hit got 1226 plays last week...although we must consider Ke$ha has a current hit on the charts.

Super late to the party here, tis happens when your computer is getting repaired. I love the image that she posted, and the dates for the single and album are perfect. I can't wait for this era to get started. It won't be long now.

'Glee' exclusive: Season 2 to feature more Gaga!by Tim Stack Lady Gaga just this week gave the Glee producers clearance for tackling her highly anticipated new single, “Born This Way,” which hasn’t even dropped yet! Murphy reveals that the song will be used in a March or April episode and will be centered around closeted gay bully Karofsky (Max Adler). “I love that that song is anthem,” says Murphy. “This show is by nature optimistic and I think a character like Karofsky could turn to booze or pills or alcohol and kill themselves or do something dark. But I also love Max and I love that character and I sorta want that character to have a happy ending. So I don’t really know what that’s going to be, but I do know we’re going to do a whole episode that’s about that song.” insidetv.ew.com/2011/01/08/glee-exclusive-gwyneth-paltrow-ladygaga/

Saw that news. I am so happy that BTW will be in a Glee episode! Damn, they have their shit together this era. There is no fucking around with GaGa now. Loving how she is slaying this era that hasn't even begun yet.

People have been talking about how hard it is for there to be "another Madonna" because Madonna broke down walls for female pop stars that can't be broken down again. I think Gaga found her new walls to break down though. Pop stars like Madonna have flirted with LGBT themes before (well it was easier to have lesbian themes and be accepted even 20 years ago) and have even supported LGBT rights politically but Gaga seems like she is about to tie herself to the issue full force right at the height of her superstardom and tying it into her musical themes in blatant ways. We will see how it goes over when Born this Way is released

The issue with Gaga lies in that her music is not up to what her image is. Madonna was consistent. Gaga has the most potential to make changes and be innovative, but musically if she does not venture further, she never will. With the industry where it is, it is hard to see another Madonna emerging. It's easy for Gaga to be evocative and provocative with her image, but then play it safe with her music by using recycled Ibiza and eastern european beats, but to really push that somewhere not necessarily new, but somewhere stranger is her challenge for this album. People talk about her artistry but I stress that it must be in line with the music. That is what Madonna did. Any other comparisons are futile because Gaga has half of the puzzle figured out and nobody else as popular as her does. Mind you, there are much better candidates but without the popularity, it can be argued that it doesn't work the same.

The whole eastern european production...since when has she totally overdone that to the point where it'd be a failure for her to go that route again? It felt fresh on BR to me, different than anything on The Fame.
Of course we want her to progress but let's not act like she's simply another dance pop artist in a sea of boring crap. Even Telephone, lyrically shallow as it is, is musically, vocally and structurally different than most top 40 hits...and obviously Bad Romance stands out as a weirdo on the last of CHR #1s 2009-2010.
Her fashion and image is way more out-there than her music and while she is certainly in a place of power and could potentially push pop music further, if her music was as weird as her clothes, she wouldn't be where she is today. She knows that and she knows what she and her monsters are capable of.
CAN'T WAIT for Born This Way

I didn't really think Madonna's earliest work was groundbreaking never before heard sounds that changed music forever either, though. That is my issue with people making comparisons either way (she is or isn't next Madonna)-I feel like we will only be able to judge that in about 10-15 years if not longer. She may flop with this next cd and never be heard of again. She may go on to be one of the most innovative, successful artists of all time. She may be semi-popular for several more cds, but not, indeed, be the game changer we thought she would be. Who knows? I will return to the discussion in about a decade

Glad to hear the news about Glee. They LOVE GaGa!!! They should air this episode the week after the single is released to iTunes. Pushing it for a second consecutive week at #1 on the Hot 100?

It looks almost rockish. I wonder if that's a sign of the new album? ElectroRock?
