I Kissed A Girl - #2 Hot N Cold - #1 Thinking Of You - #18 Waking Up In Vegas - #1 California Gurls - #1
Huge on Pop radio doesn't always mean huge in sales.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict a similar album run to P!nk. P!nk has a smash in the form of So What and a top 3 pop hit in the form of Sober (which I think Teenage Dream will perform similarly 2). Since Funhouse debuted around 180,000 copies I think Teenage Dream will do about the same

^Sober actually peaked at #4. I could also see Teenage Dream (the album) doing what Funhouse (the album) did. Although, I hope she has more Pop hits.

Oh, my bad. @ that time, I was looking @ BDS and was +ve it peaked in the top 3 hear as well . Anyways, my point being, she'll most likely have similar success to P!nk due to them having the same producers and a very similar sound.

she will sell more. She's already more popular than Pink ever has been, imo. Stats kinda prove it. We shall see tho.

LOL! What stats are you talking about? You are aware P!nk was the most played artist on Pop last decade right? She's had 5 #1's, 9 Top 2's, 11 Top 5's, 12 Top 10's and 16 Top 20's. Katy does great in digital sales, but she's only had 1 album.. pop peaks and great digital sales don't always mean album sales. I'm not saying she won't sell, I'm just saying don't get your hopes up.

The reason I'm making that comparison is because both I'm Not Dead & One Of These Boys sold similarly. Teenage Dream will probaby go 2 x platinum when all is said and done and will most likely be a top 5 CHR hit.

Yea i've got a few songs of hers on my ipod, but she's never been this OMG RELEVANT ARTIST!!! She's just kinda there, kinda like Xtina. Of course you're an obvious fan. But she isn't a clear-across-the-board-winner. She doesn't really stand-out for me. But i don't hate her by any means. She's just....kinda....i don't know...there.

U+ Ur Hand and Who Knew were almost as successful as HNC AND IKAG. Stupid Girls did do slightly better than Thinking Of You overall.

LOL uh...Pink is one of the biggest touring artists in the world and her track record on pop record is almost immaculate.

I've never actually met a big P!nk fan in real life. I'm starting to think she's entirely a radio product.

Are you referring to everyone in the world or just the US? Cause internationally she's performing in stadiums and went 13x Platinum in Australia with both of her latest albums, not combined either. Her Live In Australia tour DVD was released in November of 2009 and by the end of December became the biggest selling DVD of the decade. So What almost broke the spin record (at that time), has sold over 4 million digital singles, and Funhouse is almost 2x Platinum in the US and is at 59 this week after 91 weeks on the chart. She was also the most played artist on Hot AC last year. There are more formats than just Pop, in case you forgot. Just because she doesn't "stand out" doesn't mean she's popular. She's just not this OMG sexy bombshell who sluts it up in videos, dresses crazy or talks about guzzling cum in the back by the jukebox. She doesn't have kids she endangers, she's not out partying, she's just selling out arenas and stadiums, and still having her album in the Top 100 sales after almost 2 years. When was the last time Funhouse had a nice hit?? Oh yeah.. a year ago when PDLM fell off the chart. Why is her album still selling? Because people still checkin for her boo. Obviously she's liked. Now lets get back to Katy Perry.. since this thread isn't about P!nk.

I don't know a single Pink, Katy, Britney, or Taylor fan in real life. Therefore, no one really likes any of them and they are all just mere "radio products"

Well, I don't so therefore they are just radio products and have no fans. I do know people who like Kelly and Lady Gaga, so therefore they do have fans and are "real" popular artists. Is my point getting across at all?

I have never met anyone, in real life, who gave 2 shits about Katy. But you don't see me saying "she has no big fans".
You do realize there's a whole big world outside of Portland and Wisconsin right?

Is my point getting across at all? It came across clear as day the first time.. But I know your posting style so I can sense your sarcasm. But like I said in our other discussion.. there are some artists P!nk has sold more than in album sales and ticket sales that seem to have a far more outspoken fanbase. Whats the point of having a big group of die hards if they can't get you to outsell the one with the casual fans who's not "OMG! RELEVANT!". Sorry.. but I'd rather my fave have longevity and success than to be put on a pedestal just to be torn apart later.

How was I insulting you? I was making a statement. It was no more insulting that you saying "P!nk's a flop irrelevant cause she has no OMG huge fans, so your opinion is irrelevant just like her" schtick you had going on all last page.

LOL at people saying since people don't vocalize their fandom outside the internet as much that people like Britney Taylor Pink Katy etc are "actually liked by no one". Just because not every Britney fan is a Chris Crocker and not everyone uses Taylor Swift song quotes in their daily lives doesn't make them unliked. These women sell out stadiums for their concerts and shut down whole cities. They have tons of fans otherwise they wouldn't have all those platinum records ;) thank you very much
