^glad I downloaded it beforehand   I agree that the song has no standout hook, but it's fine by me, songs don't necessarily need big hooks to be smashes, even though it helps, if radio stations like the song, it'll pick up on its own |

Caught the last half of this on the radio, and it sounded awesome!!!!!!!!!!! Open-minded person here who's a sucker for disco, but also loves to rock out (insert rock-on sign here) and this is pretty much the song to do it for me. Don't really know if it's better than CG yet, but in time I think I might love it more than CG. Looks like I'll be the only dude in my apartment blaring Katy among others throughout the school year (also the only non-athlete). Oh well, that's life for ya. ;) I believe the worst this'll do is barely scrape the bottom of Top 10. Do I see this going #1? Not necessarily, but somewhere in the #3-5 range for CHR radio and maybe #3-10 on Hot 100. Congratulations, Katy. I will buy/download your album whenever I have the chance. |

I think its pretty good. A lot of people will be able to relate to the lyrics. It may not be as instantly melodious as CG, but I think it'll be a big grower for radio listeners and it will chart high.

All I can say is this...
After several listens.. this doesn't convince me to buy her album. However, this + Cali Gurls may do the trick for some. It shows the album has some diversity.
