Cee Lo to join Madonna for Super Bowl show? Jan. 27, 2012, 4:56 PM EST Idolator
Madonna's Super Bowl halftime show is already rumored to include M.I.A., Nicki Minaj and LMFAO. Now it seems Cee Lo Green may be in the mix.
Madge is said to have managed to squeeze yet another pop star into her 12-minute set -- a decision, we're sure, that has nothing to do with the fact that Season 2 of "The Voice" premieres right after the game.
TheInsider.com reports, "We're told for the past two weeks Cee Lo has been traveling to New York to practice with Madonna."
Search: Which reality TV star was replaced by a dog in a Super Bowl ad?
So does this mean that we can expect pom-poms and Muppets from this jam-packed showcase? The Material Girl has been tight-lipped, so we'll just have to tune in and see. We just hope Cee Lo doesn't get creative with his lyrics this time.
Kelly Clarkson Will Sing the National Anthem at Super Bowl XLVI

Rumors are that NBC is "pushed" certain acts' involvement- and if M wanted the halftime slot, she had to oblige.

If it's horrible we can blame the others. :)

Or we can just blame Madonna. I prefer that option.

Prince got a solo performance, u2 got a solo performance, so did the fucking Who and Paul McCartney , Madonna should be the Only one on that stage, perform ray of light, vogue, like a prayer, new single. Damn it aint that hard, NBC.

I guess male rock stars don't need help. Apparently NBC thinks older female singers can't get on stage without dying if there aren't younger acts up there with them.

Plus, Madonna usually is accompanied by dancers and such- what's a few more in spots? I highly doubt anyone expected a Madonna Unplugged presentation.

That 53-year old woman has had shit thrown at her for 30 years. She's not in the least worried about it now. That's one of the reasons she is the Ultimate Icon of Music! And, she's right, the Superbowl is no place to show your titties. That's what MTV and her SEX book were for. It's called at the right place, at the right time!!! You mean these grown folks can't figure out what she meant? DUH!!!

^ Well, there were the nude photos that both Playboy and Penthouse published in 1985, from her nude-modeling experience- for which she famously said "I am not ashamed! But aside from a see-through bra worn on The Virgin Tour, the first time one of em popped out was in the "Papa Don't Preach" video"- just a split-second, but MTV (and other video outlets) never caught it. I guess there were more worrisome issues with that track. Then, of course, after that, it became commonplace- but that was just window dressing for all the stuff she was presenting in her work during her cultural assault. Just one week to go...

NFL mag hints at a handful of songs featured in the halftime show. LOL @ "En Vogue." :) A fan site also reports "Hung Up." Hopefully LAP appears, too. www.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/22475988/34616145Madonna Super Bowl setlist revealed in NFL magBy Will Brinson INDIANAPOLIS -- If you're like us, you've been wondering exactly what songs Madonna would play at halftime of the Super Bowl. Sure, there's been some chatter about the various numbers she'll drop, but nothing official. However, for our Sunday afternoon flight to Indy, we picked up a copy of the new NFL Magazine and three songs are confirmed by the league in a blurb about the Material Girl: "Gimme All Your Luvvin," "Ray of Light," and "En Vogue." "Though Madonna's set list was not officially announced at press time, fans might expect her to give all her luvvin', provide a ray of light and be in vogue with her music," the magazine reads. "The Super Bowl is almost a national holiday, after all." Though we wholeheartedly agree about the holiday aspect of things, we're kind of unsure exactly what that has to do with Madonna playing a new single. Whatever, we appreciate the NFL dropping some nuggets in the magazine, which was a pretty enjoyable read. Also, for those that hadn't noticed yet, Madonna's going to have the people from Circque du Soleil with her. That alone's worth the price of admission. Oh yeah, and if you can still get odds on what song Madonna's playing first, you might want to hustle up on that.

Since I labeled it as "rumors" and everybody discusses them, there should be no issue with it. Jeesh. Plus, it would make sense if an act featured on an NBC show turns out to appear in the halftime show.
Six days and counting...

Sir Elton John has some advice for Madonna in advance of her halftime gig during Sunday's Super Bowl XLVI: "Make sure you lip-sync good."
The "Rocket Man" singer said on "Good Morning America" Monday that outside of recent Super Bowl performances by the Rolling Stones and Prince he's never seen a decent Super Bowl halftime show -- "never ever."

Elton really has turned into a bitter man- still one of my favorite male acts, though (at least in regards to his 70s/80s material).
Five days and change...

^As a native New Yorker, I will watch it. :) I watched the 2008 game, as well.
Plus, not knowing exactly when the halftime show begins, I've gotta have it on. Can't miss a single live second.

^Well, not by Madonna or her camp- rather, the buzz. :) Madonna did say three old songs and one new at the press conference today.
The oldies classics are good choices- still hoping a snippet of "Holiday" appears in "Music." But the latter supposedly has LMFAO already mixed in.

Well, if all 4 were heard and rehearsed a couple of days prior, I would think its pretty much in the can.
