Carrie Underwood's third album, Play On, came out on 3 November 2009, debuting at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart and selling 317,695 copies in its 1st week (not including street-date violations of 116 copies sold).
The spring leg of Carrie's ongoing Play On tour began on 11 March 2010 at the Sovereign Center in Reading, Pennsylvania and has fifty-four dates with special guests Craig Morgan and Sons of Sylvia, according to this press release. According to Pollstar, the spring leg of the Play On tour grossed $18.4 million over 54 dates, having sold 375,058 tickets along the way.
The autumn leg of the Play On tour kicks on 25 September in Portland, Oregon with special guests Billy Currington and Sons of Sylvia, according to this press release.

The second single from the album, "Temporary Home," topped both the Billboard Hot Country Songs and the Mediabase/Country Aircheck charts for one week. Carrie performed this song live for CMT: Invitation Only. The video for "Temporary Home" can be streamed at CMT.com. "Temporary Home" has sold over 577,000 downloads.
The third single from the album, "Undo It," topped the Billboard Hot Country Songs and the Mediabase/Country Aircheck charts for one week. It debuted on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart at #43 on the 1 May 2010 chart (for the week ending 18 April 2010), prior to its release to radio. Its official impact date was 24 May 2010. The video for "Undo It" can be streamed at CMT.com. "Undo It" has sold 795,000 downloads to date.
The fourth single from the album, "Mama's Song," debuted at #55 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart four weeks prior to its official impact date of 13 September 2010. By then, it was up to #26 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
Carrie also appears on Coal Miner's Daughter: A Tribute to Loretta Lynn, singing "You're Lookin' at Country," according to a Columbia Nashville press release. The album is due 9 November 2010.
Randy Travis has also confirmed Carrie's participation in his silver anniversary album, due in early 2011.
