Amazing that garbage like this song can get so many spins out of the box... it's already in the top 30 most spun at KIIS FM... I own Gwen's album, and this is NOT one of my favorites... bad choice for a single IMHO... :( Just because you don't like it, doesn't make it bad. Radio will eat this song up for breakfast. Just stating my opinion... Luxurious and Cool are way way better... this is one of those songs I forward past when I'm playing LAMB... I very much doubt this will get to the top 20...

This song is already top 70, likely to go top 50 next week and it hasn't even gone for adds yet. WOW.

I'm waiting to see when downloads will pick up at all. It's up to the 9th most downloaded Gwen song. It was around 13 the other day. Just passed Can I Have It Like That. I'm thinking it should pass Southside and Hollaback Girl (Dancehall Remix) any day now.

I hope for top 20 on Billboard...but I assume downloads will be down for a 6th single so it might not make it. Hopefully top 20 on this chart?

Who cares if this is a 6th single?! A lot of you guys think because this is a 6th single it won't do that well. When a song gets released, people don't go, "I'm not gonna download this song, it's a 6th single!" If the song is good and people like it, it will get downloaded. Same thing goes for radio. Only people like us that watch the charts know that it's a 6th single. Besides, Cool and Luxurious weren't that big anyways. None went top 10 (on the Hot 100) and were only #10 on Pop for a few weeks. So if this song goes to #1, don't be surprised. Success is based if people like the song to download and listen to on the radio, not if it's a 6th single!

The whole point of the 6th single problem is that over the course of the year or more since the album was released people have downloaded this album, and this song more and more. The more time passes the more people already own it from just casual downloads or digital album sales. So first few singles have a much greater chance of getting high downloads. Just my guess.

Exactly. Plus, later singles are just received with less excitement when an album is ENDING its run as opposed to kicking it off. (normally)

This song is really catchy and it was always the only non-single song besides "Harajuka Girls" that I would listen to on the album. I think this was a good choice for a single, I like it better than "Luxurious." This will go top 20 at least, and looking at the current stats on the song I say it has a good chance at top 10. It's really too bad that "WYWF" performed the worst, I bet it would've gone top 10 if she had released "Hollaback Girl" first and then followed the singles from there.

In this day and age, Hot 100 success is not the thing the industryites and insiders look at... it's the CHR/Pop and Hot AC airplay charts and the albums sold that count the most today... "Cool" and "Luxurious" weren't downloaded a lot simply because most of the people who liked these songs already had the album...

Another great update for this song today. At #58 on pop on #69 on Rhythmic. Not sure if it can make top 50 at pop by the end of the week, but it may be as high as #54 tomorrow.

I think it has a good chance of entering it.
I don't think downloads will be extremely high but once it really gets out there they'll be good.

Itunes downloads for "Crash" are now ahead of the downloads for "Southside". Next to pass: Slim Thug remix of "Luxurious" (which is on the top 100 pop downloads on itunes).

Does anyone know if Gwen will do a video for "Crash"? From what I've read in the prior posts, looks like it'll be from her tour to support the DVD that will be coming out.

"It sounds nothing like No Doubt," Stefani said of the song when Love, Angel, Music, Baby was first coming out, "but everything like all the inspirations we had. We came from a whole other kind of school than Tom Dumont or Adrian Young. We were all ska junkies, but Tony, he was really into Prince, the Time, Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam, and he turned me on to all these other groups. So to be able to write that style of music, to have these old drum machines, to do it that way, was really exciting. It was the exact song I wanted to write." ... www.mtv.com/news/articles/1520583/20060111/story.jhtml

I hope this song does well, which would be a great cap for the album, with a hit song.

I think the song will do OK, I would be surprised if it went top 10, but that would be great.
