In sales news, this currently stands at 2,770,000 in sales in the US... should go 3X platinum before the end of the month Worldwide estimate is about 5.1 Million, if it stays on pace, it should sell 7 to 8 Million worldwide by the year's end

I just noticed that this is only on 142 of the 156 reporting stations. Quite surprising.

Worldwide points thus far according to the United World Chart (http://www.mediatraffic.de)
On The Floor: 4,482,000 Rolling In The Deep: 5,088,000 Born This Way: 5,535,000 Firework: 5,611,000 Grenade: 6,588,000
RITD and BTW should both pass Grenade by the end of the year. OTF is still doing well, but it's pretty far behind so it may not.
I'd be willing to guess that RITD will wind up at #1, BTW #2, Grenade #3, OTF #4, Firework #5 for the year.
Though Firework will fall off soon, so another song (Give Me Everything, ET, Edge of Glory, etc) may push it out of the top 5.

This could have a bullet by tomorrow!
I know it's pointless to ask since obviously this song won't start rising back up, but does Mediabase have any rules in place for songs with bullets that are close to going recurrent? I can't see them keeping BTW on if it reached 21 weeks but had a bullet for some strange reason.

^I think they do.. I know of a couple times where a song stayed on longer because it was rising. Even though it was below #20. It probably depends on how big the bullet actually is.

I can't see them keeping BTW on if it reached 21 weeks but had a bullet for some strange reason. There's no official rule for this (Mediabase doesn't seem to like those other than the 20/15 rule; they're more into removing songs when they feel like it), but songs that have been consistently gaining again have been granted a few extra weeks before. However, this is usually only if the song isn't that far below where it originally peaked. It's very unlikely that a former #1 will escape the recurrent rule, regardless of spin trends.

This thread is back again SATURDAY 6/18 UPDATE29 32 LADY GAGA Born This Way 1926 2187 -261 10.632 + 7 Spins + 80 Bullet + 0.15 Audience Wow, really good. I heard this on local radio a couple days ago too, and it just really feels like an anthem now. I can see this getting massive recurrent play, even though I didn't use to think so. This will probably stand out as the hit of the album even though most of the other singles will probably out-shun it in chart success.

I had to add them up manually. Their year-end chart will include weeks 2-52 of 2011 and week 1 of 2012.
If half of November and all of December were included like Billboard, Grenade would probably be #1 for the year.

Poor Katy :( On her first counted week she was already getting 500,000 points with 2,000,000+ overall points :S
She could have easily had the song of the year for 2 years in a row...

Grenade would still be far ahead, but that did happen to The Fame. Gaga could have had the album of the year 2 years in a row if they didn't count the first week of each year for the previous YEC.

How? Grenade has less overall points, and it started charting earlier than Katy, she started charting around mid November so she would have almost all her points if they used Billboard months.

Oh, I thought you were talking about Mediatraffic using weeks 2-1 rather than 1-52 as a year. In that case Bad Romance & Tik Tok would have beaten California Gurls.
